Chapter 9: A Stowaway?

Just before Safari could set off, a few of the kind-hearted villagers stopped him.

Kind Villager: "There are more planets suffering under Raven's rule... His other Generals control them. Please, will you help them too?"

Safari scoffed.

Safari: "I don't care about those planets."

Then, after a moment of thought, he smirked.

Safari: "...But they could be good training before I take on Raven."

Satisfied, the villagers handed Safari and Angeleva a pair of trackers-
Devices retrieved from Break's fortress.

Villager: "These trackers will show you all demon-controlled planets in red."

Safari smirked, gripping his tracker.

Safari: "Perfect."

With that, he launched into space, heading for the next battlefield.

The villagers then turned to Angeleva.

Villager: "Are you sure you don't need a spaceship?"

Angeleva smirked, spreading her wings.

Angeleva: "I can fly. I'll be fine."

With a single powerful flap, she shot into space, chasing after Safari.

Safari leaned back in the pilot's seat, thoroughly enjoying the controls of his new spaceship.

He tested the thrusters, took sharp turns through space, and even spun the ship around recklessly, laughing at the thrill.

But then, a strange noise echoed from one of the ship's storage rooms.

Safari (frowning): "Huh? A rat?"

Grabbing his Celestic Devil Hammer, he stomped toward the noise.

When he kicked the door open, he found a young boy-probably 12 years old- hiding inside a pile of storage crates.

The kid gasped, eyes wide with fear.

Safari: "...Alright, kid. Who the hell are you?"

The boy hesitantly stepped forward.

???: "...I-I'm Zack... from Planet Dusk..."

Safari raised an eyebrow.

Safari: "And why the hell did you sneak onto my ship?"

Zack trembled, struggling to speak.
Zack From Celestic Warriors: Legend Warriors
Zack: "...I was just... curious about you. A-And the fairy. I wanted to be of use..."

Safari's eyes twitched in annoyance.

Safari: "...You little brat-"

He suddenly shrieked at Zack, baring his teeth.

Zack (screaming): "AAAAH! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!!!"

Tears welled up in the boy's eyes, and he started crying loudly.

The sound was so ear-piercingly annoying that Safari winced, covering his ears.

Safari (grumbling): "Ugh! What the hell-?! Stop crying! Damn it, I-Ugh!!"

He realized something horrible.

Safari (internally): "...I am absolutely TERRIBLE with kids."

He tried awkwardly to calm the boy down, but his cold attitude made it worse.

After what felt like forever, Zack finally sniffled and wiped his tears.

Zack (quietly): "...S-Sorry."

Then, out of nowhere, Zack reached out and touched Safari's hand.

For one whole minute, Safari felt a strange warmth flow through his body.

And suddenly, he realized something shocking-

All of his injuries... were gone.

Safari's eyes widened in surprise.

Safari: "...What the-?!"

Zack, still a bit shaky, explained.

Zack: "...I have an ability. If I touch someone for a minute... I can heal them. But..."

He wobbled slightly, looking tired.

Zack: "...It drains my energy every time."

Safari stared at him, thinking deeply.

A kid with a healing ability?
That was way too useful to throw away.

He crossed his arms, looking at Zack coldly.

Safari: "...Fine. You can stay."

Zack's face lit up in excitement.

Safari: "...BUT." (glares) "If you ever annoy me, you're getting kicked into space."

Zack nodded nervously.

TWO DAYS PASSED....

MEANWHILE....

Angeleva hovered above a mysterious red-marked planet. She checked the tracker again. The red signal blinked steadily. Angeleva (murmuring): "So... a demon general is supposed to be here?" But as she scanned the surface, she saw nothing unusual. Lush green forests, crystal-clear rivers, and ancient-looking towns lay before her. It was... beautiful. Angeleva frowned. Angeleva (thinking): "Is my tracker broken? This place looks like a paradise, not a battlefield." She wandered through the empty streets, admiring the architecture. But the more she walked, the more something felt off. There were no people. Not a single soul. The silence was haunting. She shouted. "Hey anyone there?" Then after sometime-a creak. She turned her head sharply to see a door slightly open, and through the crack, a pair of fearful eyes stared at her. Whispering Voice: "Psst! Come inside! Hurry!" Angeleva hesitated for a moment, then walked towards the house. As soon as she stepped in, the door shut tightly behind her, and the locks clicked. Inside, a family of five stood in fear. The mother had tears in her eyes. The father looked restless. The grandparents held each other's hands, shaking. But Angeleva's attention was drawn to a shy-looking girl, probably around 16 years old. She was pale, trembling, and looked like she had been crying for hours. Angeleva folded her arms. Angeleva: "Alright. Spill it. What's going on in this planet?" The mother stepped forward. Mother: "This planet... it's controlled by General Bloody Kira, the Vampire Queen." Angeleva's eyes sharpened. Mother (continuing): "She... she takes one girl from a family every night. She drains them completely of their blood-" The father clenched his fists. Father: "She gets stronger... and even more beautiful... with every victim." The grandmother sobbed. Grandmother: "We never know who's next. But tonight... it's our Jen's turn." Angeleva's gaze shifted to the terrified young girl. She was hugging herself, eyes red from crying. Angeleva's jaw tightened. Angeleva (firmly): "No. That's not happening." The family looked at her in shock. Angeleva: "I won't let that bloodsucking witch lay a finger on her." The girl shivered, looking up at Angeleva with wide eyes. Girl: "B-But... if she doesn't take me... she'll come for someone else." Angeleva gave a confident smirk. Angeleva: "Not if I go in your place." The room fell dead silent. Father: "You... you would do that?" Angeleva stretched her hands. Angeleva: "Of course. I've been itching for a fight anyway." The mother burst into tears, falling to her knees in gratitude. Mother: "Thank you... thank you...!" Angeleva then introduced herself to the family and then placed a hand on Jen to reassure her saying:- Angeleva: "Don't worry, Jen. I'll make sure that vampire regrets ever stepping foot on this planet." Jen From Celestic Warriors: Legend Warriors Jen sniffled and nodded. Outside, the moon began to rise, and the wind carried a chilling whisper.
