Chapter 55: The Family That Fights as One

The journey to the mayor's office was nothing short of grueling.

With each step forward, the air thickened with the stench of decay. The deeper they went into the city, the more twisted the virus-infested people became. What once resembled townsfolk now morphed into grotesque abominations — bodies writhing, limbs bending unnaturally, eyes glowing with crimson hatred.

Yet, Safari pressed on. Every swing of his Devil Hammer shattered the monstrous figures, his face set with fierce determination.

Ian, despite the overwhelming danger, never stopped his enthusiastic narration.

Ian (dramatic voice):
"And here we witness Big Bro Safari once again, unleashing the wrath of his mighty hammer — a true force of destruction! The ground trembles beneath him as the virus monsters fall like flimsy twigs!"

He quickly spun his camera toward Angeleva, who spun her Fairy Wand in graceful arcs, releasing bursts of Fairy Pulse that vaporized enemies in glowing explosions.

Ian:
"Big Sis Angeleva, the radiant warrior, takes down dozens with a mere flick of her wrist! The demons stand no chance against the blazing light of justice!"

When Zack knelt to heal the exhausted Safari, Ian's lens focused on the boy's glowing hands.

Ian:
"And our little hero, Zack, with the power of healing! Restoring Big Bro's strength like the ultimate support character! Truly a healer that every adventurer dreams of!"

He even captured Jen as she handed Zack another batch of cookies.

Ian:
"And of course, the unsung heroine — Jen, the cookie champion! Every bite, a burst of energy! She's single-handedly keeping our team from collapsing!"

When Olive fired a precise shot at a monstrous figure creeping toward them, Ian gave her an exaggerated bow.

Ian:
"Ah, and my dear Olive! A sharpshooter with nerves of steel! Every bullet she fires is a symphony of skill and precision!"

Olive (gritting her teeth):
"Ian, I swear, if we survive this, I'm throwing that camera into space."

Ian (laughing):
"Then I'll film the throw and call it 'The Day Olive Finally Snapped!'"

The farther they went, the stronger the enemies became.

Many of the virus-infested bodies had mutated, sprouting additional limbs and razor-sharp claws. Some spewed clouds of toxic mist, forcing the family to cover their mouths and move cautiously.

Angeleva's attacks grew fiercer, her Fairy Daggers slicing through the thickened air like glowing comets.

Safari, despite his relentless effort, began to stagger. His once powerful swings became slower as the overwhelming number of demons chipped away at his stamina.

Zack trembled with exhaustion. His hands glowed weakly as he tried to maintain his healing abilities. Jen stayed by his side, murmuring words of encouragement and offering him cookies.

Jen (softly):
"We're almost there, Zack. Just a little more. You can do this."

Olive, with her heart pounding, shot down several more demons while pulling Ian closer to her. Despite his bravado, she could sense his fear beneath the jokes. She wouldn't let anything happen to him.

Olive (firmly):
"Stay close, Ian. No more wandering off."

Ian (weak smile):
"Understood, boss."

After what felt like an eternity, the towering, ominous silhouette of the mayor's office came into view. Its twisted, cracked structure loomed over the city like a monument of despair. Dark tendrils pulsed from its foundation, evidence of the virus that festered within.

Safari's grip tightened on his hammer.

Safari (gruffly):
"This is it. No turning back now."

Angeleva nodded, summoning the last remnants of her power.

Angeleva:
"We end this. For the people who couldn't escape. For everyone this virus has taken."

The family stood side by side, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten as determination flooded their hearts.

Ian (lifting his camera with trembling hands):
"And now... the final chapter begins. Safari and Angeleva, the unstoppable protectors, face the source of all this madness. Will they triumph, or will the virus claim victory? Stay tuned for the most epic showdown in galactic history!"

With a collective breath, they stepped forward.

The mayor's twisted laughter echoed from the darkness ahead.

The family finally stood before the Mayor's office after their long, exhausting journey.

The twisted building loomed above them, its darkened windows glowing faintly from the corrupted energy within.

Safari, with his hammer resting on his shoulder, approached the massive, reinforced doors. Without hesitation, he summoned his strength.

Safari:
"No more delays."

With a thunderous roar, he swung his Devil Hammer forward.

"Devil Blast!"

The door exploded in a burst of splintered debris, sending nearby demons flying. The infected figures twisted in pain before collapsing into heaps of writhing flesh.

Safari entered the building, his imposing form leading the charge.

Zack, Jen, Ian, and Olive followed closely, their footsteps echoing through the dimly lit corridors. Angeleva brought up the rear, maintaining her guard as she scanned for threats.

The group ascended the twisted halls of the mayor's building, each floor swarming with infected employees. Their grotesque forms lunged at the family, screeching with unnatural fury.

But the family worked like a seamless unit.

Safari led from the front, his hammer unleashing devastating attacks.

Devil Hammer Slash!

Devil Shock!

Every blow shattered the virus-infested foes, clearing a path forward.

Angeleva covered the rear, her graceful movements dazzling as her wand released blinding bursts of light.

Fairy Beam!

Fairy Daggers!

Any demon attempting to flank them was reduced to ash in an instant.

Meanwhile, Olive supported from the center, using her weapon to slow the enemies. Her precise aim took down the more aggressive foes, ensuring the group wasn't overwhelmed.

Zack kept a close eye on everyone, swiftly healing any injuries. The glow of his healing light brought relief to Safari and Angeleva, countering the virus's draining effects.

Jen remained at Zack's side, providing him with the cookies she had prepared earlier, ensuring his energy never wavered.

Ian?
He did what Ian did best.

Ian (grinning):
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, a perfect shot of Big Bro's Devil Hammer Strike! Oh, the sheer brutality! Wait, wait—Big Sis just unleashed her Fairy Pulse! Absolutely magnificent!"

He clicked away with his camera, capturing the fierce battle, unbothered by the chaos.

Despite the relentless opposition, the family's cooperation was unwavering. They moved in perfect sync, supporting one another without hesitation.

After a relentless climb, they finally reached the second-to-last floor.

But waiting for them were two ominous figures — the executives of the mayor, twisted by the virus. Their monstrous forms exuded unimaginable power.

Without a word, the executives lunged, one locking onto Safari and the other on Angeleva.

The clash shook the floor beneath them.

Safari's hammer met monstrous claws.

Angeleva's light clashed with waves of dark energy.

Blow after blow, their strength faltered. The executives fought viciously, feeding on the virus's power. Every strike from Safari and Angeleva drained their energy further.

The family watched in panic.

Zack:
"Big Bro... Big Sis... they're losing!"

Even as Ian nervously continued taking pictures, the growing realization of their defeat was setting in.

But Olive wasn't ready to give up. Her sharp mind pieced together an idea.

Olive (urgently):
"Listen! Angeleva big sis's power is positive, Safari big bro's is negative. If we connect all of us through them, we can transfer energy using Zack's healing ability!"

Zack:
"But how—"

Olive:
"I'll explain later! Just follow my lead!"

She quickly positioned herself behind Angeleva, placing her hand firmly on her back.

Zack, without hesitation, mirrored her actions with Safari.

Jen linked hands with Zack, her heart pounding with hope.

Ian, sensing the urgency, grabbed both Jen's and Olive's hands, sealing the connection.

A surge of warmth flowed through them.

Zack's light acted as the bridge. The positive energy from Angeleva transferred through him, circulating through Jen, then Ian, and finally Olive.

Then, all the collective energy rushed into Safari.

His body erupted with newfound strength, a dark green aura mixing with the pink light.

Safari:
"Devil's Unity Strike!"

A massive aura of destructive energy surged from his hammer.

Safari struck the hammer directly at the executive before him, engulfing him. The monstrous creature screeched in agony before being disintegrated.

With Safari now exhausted, Olive commanded the reverse.

Olive:
"Now we send it back to Angeleva!"

Using the same chain, the energy flowed in reverse.

From Safari to Ian, to Jen, to Zack, and finally back to Angeleva.

Her eyes gleamed with radiant power.

Angeleva:
"Fairy Unity Beam!"

A blinding beam of light surged from her wand, vaporizing the remaining executive in a brilliant flash.

The two powerful executives were no more. The family, exhausted but victorious, exchanged glances of disbelief.

Zack (panting):
"We... we did it."

Safari and Angeleva were still stunned. The warmth of their family's energy remained within them.

Safari:
"That... was incredible."

Angeleva smiled softly.

Angeleva:
"It wasn't just our power. It was all of us."

Ian (dramatically posing):
"And snap! History has been made! The Family Unity Beam has vanquished evil!"

The family laughed, even Olive allowing a small smile.

Olive:
"Guess that's one for the record books."

But even as the moment settled, they all knew—

The real battle was just beyond the final door.
