Chapter 82: Fairy's Resolve

Inside the forbidden chamber, the air grew thick with a dark presence. The glow of purity faded, replaced by the ominous flicker of black flames.

Angeleva crept forward, hiding behind a pillar. Peering out, she saw a disturbing sight.

A massive mirror, etched with demonic runes, hovered in the air. It reflected the darkened throne of Raven, who grinned with malicious delight. Standing before the mirror was a figure clad in pristine robes — Father Lucifero.

But what shocked her most was the demon standing beside him, large and twisted, with venomous eyes.

"Victor's downfall was... disappointing," Lucifero sighed, his voice smooth yet venomous. "But for me, that's a sin."

The demon bowed, his weakened body trembling.

Lucifero grinned. "Soon, we will spread Lord Raven's influence further. This planet is merely a disguise — a place for sanctimony, hiding the true source of our strength."

Then, the mirror flickered as Raven disconnected, yawning at his speech.

"Saint Seraphiel," Lucifero called immediately sensing a presence behind. "Report."

A robed angel with a radiant presence emerged from the shadows.

"The sinners are secured," Seraphiel declared. "That devil is particularly... enjoyable. Lord Raven's demons are delighting in his suffering. They will ensure his spirit is broken before we deliver him."

Angeleva's heart sank. "Safari...?"

But before she could react, Lucifero's gaze shifted. "Who dares intrude?"

The air grew heavy as Angeleva's cover was blown. She clenched her fists, knowing she was outnumbered.

"I knew this place reeked of lies," she spat. "You call yourselves pure, yet you consort with demons!"

Lucifero smirked. "Purity and power are simply perspectives. And now, little fairy, you will see the depths of true judgment."

He lunged, and Angeleva quickly summoned her fairy powers. She unleashed a Fairy Radiance forcing them back as she transformed. She knew she couldn't win here — not against Lucifero and his twisted followers.

She needed to escape.

After a fierce struggle, Angeleva broke free from the chamber, her wings glowing brilliantly as she soared through the city.

The alarms blared, and angels pursued her. But she was determined.

On her way, she found a Radiant Celestial Prison heavily guarded.

It was clear the family were kept there so she charged her way using a combination of Fairy Agility and Invisibility technique for evading the security as she sneaked inside in desperation.

The prisons awaited — and at the very depths of this treacherous place, Safari suffered unimaginable torment.

His horns were being forcibly pulled by cursed chains, his body stretched to its limit. Ravens' demons gleefully surrounded him, preparing to drive a wicked pin into his stomach.

But even in that agony, Safari's spirit refused to break.

"I'll endure," he thought, his teeth clenched. "I'll endure as a proud ruler of Sappy."

Meanwhile...

Angeleva soared through the darkened corridors of the celestial prison, her wings leaving a trail of shimmering light. The echoes of alarms followed her as the angels pursued her relentlessly. "There's no escape, fairy!" one shouted. "Return and face your judgment!" "Judgment?" Angeleva muttered, swiftly dodging a blast of holy energy. "Your so-called 'judgment' is nothing but corruption!" She knew she had no time to waste. Her family was suffering — and Safari, most of all. Her heart burned at the thought of what he might be enduring. She grit her teeth, her glowing wings propelling her faster. "Hold on," she whispered. "I'm coming." The celestial prison was a twisted labyrinth of light and shadows. Unlike the pristine city, this place bore darkened walls, glowing with cursed sigils. Chains rattled, and the echoes of anguished cries haunted the air. The family was separated, each confined to different sections of the prison. The corrupted angels ensured that the environment tortured them both mentally and physically — twisting their fears and regrets. Ian found himself bound in a shimmering chamber, with visions of beautiful women surrounding him, whispering sweet nothings. Every attempt to break free was futile. "You desire them, don't you?" a voice cooed. "You cannot resist your sinful urges." But Ian clenched his fists. "No. This isn't real. Olive... Olive is real." The illusions twisted, showing Olive's face. But even as temptation clawed at him, Ian's resolve remained firm. Olive stood alone in a chamber of endless mirrors. Each reflection whispered her failures — her abandonment, her inability to save her comrades, and the constant fear of betrayal. "You are nothing without them," the reflections hissed. "You should have never joined this family." But Olive shut her eyes, gripping her chest. "No. I found a family. I won't lose them." Zack trembled as shadows loomed over him, mocking his weakness. Visions of his close ones — his parents, his village, and even Safari appeared before his eyes in a twisted way. "You are a burden to them." But Zack stood his ground, his small hands trembling. "I won't let fear control me. Safari big bro believed in me. My family believes in me!" Jen was surrounded by illusions of ruined meals and people mocking her cooking. Every insult from her past echoed through her mind. "Your food brings no joy. You are a failure." But Jen shook her head, tears falling. "That's not true! My family loves my food. And I love making them happy!" Angeleva reached the upper prison chambers, her wings glowing with renewed strength. But the angels blocked her path. "You think you can defy Father Lucifero?" one sneered. "I'm not just a fairy," she declared. "I'm a warrior. And I will free my family!" She unleashed a wave of Fairy Beam, to blast past the angels. Despite their efforts to retaliate, Angeleva's determination burned brighter. Finally, she launched a fairy justice beam in the direction of the large number of angels chasing her, blinding them for an opening to escape.

After a few minutes...

Angeleva stood amidst the twisted corridors of the celestial prison. The angelic guards that had once chased her were nowhere in sight for now, but the corrupted energy lingering in the air weighed heavily on her. Despite her determination, anxiety clawed at her heart. Her family was suffering, and every second she wasted was another moment of their pain. "Hold on, everyone," she whispered, her glowing wings illuminating the darkness. "I'll get you out of here." She summoned her inner power, allowing her fairy powers to sense the auras of her family. Soon, four faint pulses resonated within her. "Ian... Olive... Zack... Jen." Her fists clenched. She could feel their distress. Each aura led her to a different chamber, and judging by their weakening presence, she knew they didn't have much time. Angeleva, at first, entered a crimson-hued room, the air thick with a perfume-like scent. Silk curtains floated unnaturally, wrapping around her as if attempting to seduce her. She pushed them away, her eyes narrowing at the scene before her. In the center of the chamber, Ian was bound by golden chains, suspended in mid-air. Surrounding him were illusions of alluring women with flawless figures, their laughter echoing throughout the chamber. Each step they took seemed to entice him further. "Ian!" Angeleva called out. Ian's head lifted weakly. His once goofy grin was gone, replaced by an expression of torment. "Big sis..." The women sneered. "You cannot save him. His desires bind him." "Desires?" Angeleva growled. "You don't know anything about him!" She spread her hands, summoning glowing fairy particles. "Fairy Purity Beam!" A burst of light shot through the illusions, shattering them. The chains holding Ian cracked, and he fell to the ground. Angeleva rushed to his side, gently helping him up. "I... I kept seeing them," Ian gasped. "But none of it was real. Olive was the only one I thought of." Angeleva smiled softly. "Then hold onto that. We're not done yet." Following the next pulse, Angeleva entered a circular chamber made entirely of mirrors. Every reflection displayed moments from Olive's past — moments of failure and betrayal. The voices from the mirrors taunted her. "You were useless. A traitor. Abandoned by your own people." In the middle of it all, Olive knelt, clutching her head. Her eyes were hollow, lost in the overwhelming illusions. Angeleva stepped forward. "Olive! None of this is true!" The reflections twisted to show Angeleva's face, contorted with scorn. "You're a burden. Safari never needed you." But Angeleva's resolve didn't waver. She conjured her energy into her wand. "Fairy Justice Beam!" It shattered the mirrors. The illusions screeched as they vanished. Olive collapsed to the floor, breathing heavily. "Big sis..." Her voice quivered. "They made me see... everything I tried to forget." Angeleva knelt beside her, holding her hands firmly. "You are strong. You chose to stand with us, Olive. That's what makes you family." Tears welled in Olive's eyes, but she nodded. "Thank you." The third chamber radiated an ominous chill. Angeleva's heart clenched as she saw Zack, trembling amidst a sea of shadows. They loomed over him, taking on monstrous forms — visions of the people he'd loved. "You couldn't save them, could you?" the shadows mocked. "Just like you won't save your Safari big bro." Zack clutched his head, his small body shaking. "No... I tried... I tried!" Angeleva's wings flared. "Fairy Radiance!" It dispelled the shadows. The figures twisted and writhed before vanishing. Zack gasped for air, his tear-streaked face looking up at Angeleva. "I was so scared," Zack whimpered. "I thought I'd lose all of you." Angeleva embraced him by wrapping her wings around him, her warmth easing his trembling. "You're never alone, Zack. Fear only has power if you let it. And you're stronger than that." Zack's small hands gripped her tightly. "I won't be afraid. I'll fight for our family." The final chamber was eerily silent. Jen stood in the middle of a vast, dimly lit kitchen. Rotting food covered the floor, and the smell of burnt dishes lingered. Surrounding her were phantom figures, all sneering and laughing. "You're a terrible cook." "No one enjoys your food." Jen's head was lowered, her eyes dim. She clutched her trembling hands, the mockery weighing heavily on her. Angeleva's heart ached. She approached slowly, her voice gentle. "Jen... can you hear me?" Jen didn't respond. The phantom figures cackled louder. Angeleva clenched her fists. "Enough." Summoning her energy, she unleashed a "Fairy Pulse!" The hateful whispers evaporated, and the rotten food was reduced to ash. Jen blinked as the darkness faded. Tears welled in her eyes as she turned to Angeleva. "They said... no one liked my cooking." Angeleva knelt before her, taking her hands. "That's not true. Every meal you've ever made brought warmth and joy. You cook from the heart, and that's what makes it special." Jen's tears fell freely. "I'll keep cooking for our family. I promise." With her family freed, Angeleva led them out of the corrupted prison. Despite their exhaustion, their spirits burned with determination. "Where's big bro?" Ian asked. Angeleva's expression darkened. "They took him deeper. I could feel his energy, but it's weakening." "He's suffering?" Zack whispered, clenching his fists. "We'll find him," Olive declared suppressing the storm inside her. "Together." Angeleva nodded. "No more chains. No more torment. We're getting Safari back." With newfound resolve, the Safari Family marched forward. The battle to save their leader — their brother — had only just begun.
