Chapter 89: Fairy and Devil: United

The family raced across the glowing marbles of the planet, the golden church looming larger with every step. But as they neared the entrance, a suffocating presence swept over them.

The air shifted.

From above, a figure descended—wings of white feathers spread wide, radiant armor gleaming beneath the golden sun. His piercing eyes blazed with righteous fury.

“Saint Seraphiel…” Angeleva whispered, her voice trembling.

The Archangel of Divine Judgment. Second only to Lucifero.

“You dare return,” Seraphiel thundered, his wings casting a vast shadow across the ground. “Your corruption has no place on Angel Planet.”

Safari gritted his teeth. “We’re not leaving. Not until this is finished.”

The archangel’s gaze fell upon Safari and Angeleva’s bound hands. His expression twisted with disgust.

“The unholy union of light and shadow…” He leveled his massive spear at them. “This blasphemy will be undone.”

Angeleva stepped forward, her wand materializing as her wings unfurled.

“Try us.”

The family moved to her side. Safari, though battered and weakened, refused to fall back. Their hands remained bound, stronger together than apart.

Safari lifted his Devil Hammer with trembling arms.

“Sap-Green Devil Warrior!”

Emerald flames engulfed his body. His horns glistened, his eyes burned with devilish energy—yet this time, his power was balanced by Angeleva’s presence. No draining. No collapse.

“Pink Fairy Warrior!”

Angeleva’s wings shimmered as blossoms gathered around her. Her aura sparkled, radiant and pure. Balanced by Safari, her light burned steadily.

The sky turned to molten gold as Seraphiel hovered above, wings outstretched like judgment itself. His spear crackled with divine fury.

“You defile this land,” his voice rang, sharp as steel. “A devil clinging to life, bound to a fairy. An insult to Angel’s purity.”

Safari’s breaths came ragged, pain gnawing at him even in his Warrior form. Though Angeleva’s energy steadied him, his scars ran deep. Yet his glare never faltered.

“We don’t need your approval,” Safari growled. “We’re here to end this. Lucifero is next.”

Seraphiel sneered. “A devil imagining himself a savior. Pathetic.”

He thrust his spear forward. “You should have died below.”

Angeleva tightened her grip on Safari’s hand, the silver binding glinting in the light.

“Then you’ll have to go through me.”

“Foolish.”

With a flap of his wings, Seraphiel shot forward, spear blazing. Angeleva swung her wand, a fairy barrier flashing into place. The impact roared, hurling her backward. Safari stumbled with her, his legs trembling.

“You falter already,” Seraphiel mocked. “This bond weakens you.”

“Wrong,” Angeleva shot back. “This bond makes us stronger.”

Golden beams erupted from her wings. Seraphiel deflected them with effortless spins of his spear.

“Impure light,” he spat. “A traitor’s light.”

Dozens of holy lances formed and rained down like judgment itself.

“Keep going, big sis!” Olive cried.

Angeleva braced herself—but Safari, even broken, still watched every movement with sharp focus.

“Left!” he barked.

She obeyed instantly, dodging a lance that would have pierced her heart.

“Up!”

She rolled skyward, barely evading Seraphiel’s dive.

“Now—counter!”

Angeleva unleashed her Fairy Radiant Beam, the blast striking Seraphiel square in the chest. His armor cracked as he reeled back, though he steadied himself mid-air, scowling.

“You dare rely on the devil’s guidance? You’re more lost than I thought.”

Safari smirked through the pain. “What’s wrong? Scared we’re working together?”

“Enough!” Seraphiel roared.

He raised his spear skyward. Golden clouds spiraled as colossal rings of light churned in the heavens.

“Divine Purge!”

Beams of divine energy cascaded down, annihilating everything in their path.

“Everyone, back!” Olive shouted, dragging Zack and Jen. Ian dove for cover, clutching his camera.

But Angeleva stood firm, gripping Safari’s hand.

“Together,” she whispered.

Safari nodded weakly. Their bound hands blazed as pink and green light merged.

“Fairy Barrier!”

A dome of shimmering energy formed around them, divine beams slamming into it like falling stars. Cracks webbed across its surface.

“Angeleva!” Safari strained, sweat streaming down his face. “We need more!”

“I know!” she cried, tears glimmering.

But his strength faltered. His body collapsed, de-transforming as he fell gasping into her arms.

“Safari!” she cried, cradling his face.

“Guess… I wasn’t much help,” he whispered.

“Don’t say that!” she sobbed. “You’ve always protected the family.”

Seraphiel descended, spear poised for the killing blow. “This ends now.”

“NO!”

Angeleva’s scream shattered the air. A surge of pink-gold light erupted from her, blasting Seraphiel back. Her aura blazed, wings stretching wider than ever.

“I won’t let you take him!” she cried, her voice trembling but unbreakable. “He’s my family. And I’ll never stand by while he suffers!”

Safari’s eyes widened, awestruck.

Angeleva’s light no longer wavered. It burned with purpose.

“You truly defy Angel’s will,” Seraphiel snarled.

“And I always will,” Angeleva vowed. “If it means protecting them.”

Safari rose again, leaning against her, their hands still bound and glowing.

“You’re not fighting a devil and a fairy,” Safari said, his voice steady as he used his remaining strength to transform. “You’re fighting us. Together.”

The family gathered behind them, their resolve unshakable.

“This ends with Lucifero,” Angeleva declared. “Not you.”

Their bound hands surged, light and shadow fusing into a sphere of pink-green radiance.

“Devil–Fairy Unity Merge!” they roared in unison.

The sphere launched, roaring toward Seraphiel. His eyes widened in disbelief.

“No… impossible!”

He raised his spear, divine energy flooding into it, but the attack overwhelmed him. The blast swallowed his form in a cataclysm of light and shadow.

The ground shook. The heavens trembled.

When the smoke cleared, silence reigned.
