Chapter 125: Raven's 30%

Deep in the heart of Raven’s domain…

Safari and Angeleva had carved their way through his forces, torn apart his castle walls, and now— They stood before him. The Demon Lord himself. Raven lounged upon his throne, a goblet of blood in hand. His piercing red eyes locked onto them, and a sickly grin twisted across his face. Tilting his head back, he took a slow, deliberate sip—savoring it. Then he laughed. A low, chilling chuckle that crawled beneath their skin, sending nausea rolling through their veins. Angeleva’s wings twitched. Safari’s fists clenched. But neither could deny it— There was something profoundly wrong about Raven. His very presence felt like a nightmare given form. And he knew it. He relished in it. “Ahhh…” Raven sighed, licking his lips. “You both look simply… delicious.” His voice was smooth, mocking—but beneath it lurked something far more sinister. “A devil and a fairy working together?” he mused, swirling the blood in his goblet. “An insult to both your species.” He leaned forward, his grin widening. “Tell me… which one of you should I kill first?” The room fell silent. The air grew thick, suffocating with unseen malice. Safari gritted his teeth. “You’re disgusting.” Angeleva stepped forward, wings glowing. “You’re pure evil.” Raven only smiled. A twisted, knowing smile. “I know.” And with that— The battle began. The instant Raven lifted a finger, the air distorted. Crimson slashes ripped through the space they had stood in moments before. He hadn’t even risen from the throne—yet his attacks were monstrous. BOOM! A wave of dark energy blasted toward Safari, who barely dodged with a roll. Angeleva twirled midair, narrowly evading several spears of blood conjured with a flick of Raven’s hand. For minutes, they pressed him. Safari’s Devil Hammer Incineration. Angeleva’s Fairy Blossom Strike. But Raven waved a hand, dispersing their attacks as though they were sparks on the wind. They were faster. Stronger. Perfectly synchronized. But to Raven—it was entertainment. At last, he sighed. His eyes glowed eerily. “You two are good enough to keep me entertained. How rare.” His grin stretched wider. “As a reward… I’ll show you thirty percent of my power.” The castle shook. Raven lifted both hands, channeling Positive and Negative energy at once. Black and white lightning crackled around him, space itself fracturing under the weight of his aura. Safari and Angeleva braced themselves. And then— BOOM! He vanished. Safari’s gut screamed danger. He barely blocked a devastating energy claw that nearly shredded him in two. Angeleva spun, unleashing a Fairy StarLight—only for Raven to catch them in his bare hand. “Oh? That actually stung.” They exchanged a glance. BOOM! A shockwave erupted, blasting Safari and Angeleva back across the shattered floor. Their feets scraped against stone as they fought to stay upright. “Hoh? Still standing?” Raven sneered, his eerie grin never fading. “Not bad.” But Safari and Angeleva weren’t the same warriors he once would have crushed with ease. Seven months under Legend had changed them. They weren’t the same fighters who struggled against Zozo. They had been broken down, rebuilt, and pushed past their limits. They had surpassed themselves. Safari’s aura ignited—Sap-Green, blazing with devilish fire. His muscles tensed as his Devil Hammer pulsed with black-and-green energy. Angeleva’s aura shimmered—Pink Fairy light, radiant with white-and-pink brilliance as her wand pulsed in her hand. “Let’s go, Angeleva!” Safari roared. “Right behind you!” she answered, wings burning with light. Safari launched first— Devil Hammer Strike! His swing tore through the air, but Raven tilted his head lazily, letting it pass. Devil Hammer Smash! A follow-up, hammer crashing down with meteor force—only for Raven to catch it between two fingers. Devil Hammer Shock! Energy burst from the weapon, forcing Raven to release his grip. Angeleva seized the opening— Fairy Justice Beam! A searing column of light, grazing Raven’s shoulder. Fairy Barrage! Daggers of radiant magic, raining from all angles—only for Raven to weave through them with fluid ease. Still— This time, their attacks were leaving marks. “You’re making this entertaining.” WHOOSH! Raven vanished again. Safari’s eyes widened—too late. BAM! A black claw slammed into his stomach, launching him through a wall. “Safari!” Angeleva cried. But Raven was already behind her. “Too slow, little fairy.” SLASH! A black-and-white energy wave tore through her wings. Pain seared as she spiraled, clutching the wound. But they weren’t broken. Not yet. Safari, battered but unbowed, rose from the rubble, hammer in hand. “Angeleva! Let’s show him how far we’ve come!” “Right!” she shouted, her eyes blazing. They pressed forward again. The battle roared into a fever pitch. BOOM! CLASH! CRACK! Safari’s Devil Hammer crashed against Raven’s dark claws, shockwaves splitting the air. Angeleva darted through the sky, even with wounded wings, firing beam after beam at Raven’s blind spots. “He’s fast!” Safari grunted, blocking a claw aimed at his throat. “And getting stronger!” Angeleva hissed, dodging a streak of negative energy. The ruins of the castle trembled, stones collapsing around them.

And from the shadows—

Two figures watched. Hidden behind a shattered pillar, their eyes glowed faintly in the flickering storm of battle. “Heh… this is interesting,” one muttered, voice deep and coarse. “Yeah… I never thought anyone would push him this far,” the other replied, sly and smooth. The tall, muscular one folded his arms, eyes locked on Safari. “Heh. The devil’s improved.” The slender one smirked, gaze flicking to Angeleva. “So has the fairy. But against Raven? They’ll be torn apart sooner or later.” Their voices were little more than whispers, but their intrigue was undeniable.

Back on the battlefield—

Raven froze. His red eyes narrowed, as though he had sensed something. But before he could react— Safari and Angeleva struck together. Devil Hammer roared with emerald fire. Fairy Wand shimmered with pink radiant blossoms. They clashed against Raven’s overwhelming aura, shaking the castle to its very core. Unfazed, Raven chuckled, parrying their strikes with the barest movements. “Not bad,” he mused, sidestepping Safari’s Smash and flicking aside Angeleva’s Beam. “But can you withstand this?” His arms spread wide. Black and white energy coiled into a storm around him, warping the air until it felt impossible to breathe. Then— KRAKOOM! The energy burst outward in a wave of destruction, slamming Safari and Angeleva into the crumbling walls. Dust and stone cascaded around them. Gritting his teeth, Safari forced himself up, hammer trembling in his hands. Angeleva pushed herself to her feet, wand glowing defiantly. “His power keeps growing,” she grumbled. “And he’s not even serious yet.” Safari’s eyes burned with fire. “Then let’s make him get serious!” Together, they charged again. Their battle cries echoed through the ruins. And from the shadows, the two hidden figures continued to watch. Their eyes gleamed—not with fear, but with anticipation.
