After a long silence, Safari exhaled deeply. "That's all in the past. We don't care about it anymore."
His tone was firm, but everyone could sense the weight behind his words.
Mike and Heidi, however, weren't buying it.
They narrowed their eyes, exchanging knowing looks. Mike leaned toward the group and whispered, "Hold on a second... are we seeing what I think we're seeing?"
Heidi folded her arms. "There's a weird tension between them. Are theyâ?"
Before she could finish, Ian, always eager to stir the pot, smirked and answered.
"Oh, absolutely."
Mike and Heidi stared. "Wait. They actually... fell in love?"
Ian grinned. "Yep. But here's the funny partâthey refuse to admit it. Because, you know, 'fairy and devil' drama."
Mike blinked. "Are you kidding me?"
Heidi gasped dramatically. "No way. They're actually that dense?"
Zack, Jen, and Olive nodded in unison.
Safari and Angeleva were both clearly listening but refused to acknowledge the conversation.
Mike rubbed his temples. "This is ridiculous."
Heidi huffed. "Okay, this is bothering me. This is a war, not some romantic comedy. Either they admit it, or we force them to!"
Safari shot them both a glare. "I dare you."
Heidi grinned wickedly. "Oh? Challenge accepted."
The family sighed. Zack, Jen, Olive, and Ian exchanged weary glances.
"It's not as easy as it looks," Jen admitted. "Their case is... complicated."
"Quite literally impossible," Olive added.
Mike crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. "Impossible?"
Heidi huffed. "Come on. I get that they're different species, but it's not like it's illegal to fall in love."
Ian leaned against a tree, shaking his head. "You'd think so, right? But Safari big bro has convinced himself that a fairy and a devil shouldn't happen. And Angeleva big sis... well, she's scared and is not totally confident about it."
Mike scratched his head. "That's actually hilarious when you think about it."
Heidi nodded. "So let me get this straight: Angeleva originally wanted to kill him. Now she's in love with him. And weirdly enough... it's two-sided?"
Zack sighed. "Yeah. But the only thing stopping them is the 'fairy-devil' part."
Heidi placed her hands on her hips. "Okay, yeah, that's definitely a tough one."
Mike stroked his chin. "Still, it's not like we haven't seen crazier things."
Safari stayed silent, pretending to ignore them, but his grip on his weapon tightened slightly.
Angeleva looked at the ground, avoiding everyone's gaze.
Mike and Heidi shared a look.
This was going to take some serious effort.
Mike grinned. "You know... if you look at them carefully, they're kinda like 'Beauty and the Beast.'"
Heidi snorted. "More like 'Fairy and the Devil.' But yeah, same thing."
Everyone paused for a moment, considering the comparison.
"If it turns out well," Zack said, "it would be the rarest love story in the universe."
Ian suddenly lit up. "And if I record itâoh man! I'll become the biggest celebrity in history! The one who documented the first-ever fairy-devil romance! The universe will know my name!"
Safari glared at him. "Not happening."
Ian smirked. "Oh, it's happening. I'll make sure of it."
"We should try to make it work no matter what," Jen said, smiling.
Angeleva flushed red. "W-Wait! I never agreed toâ"
Mike waved her off. "Shh, let the story unfold naturally. If it's fate, it'll happen."
Heidi grinned. "Right. And when it does, we'll all be witnesses."
Safari rubbed his temples, muttering, "Why am I surrounded by idiots?"
Olive crossed her arms. "But first, we should head back. If we don't, Legend's going to be worried about us."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
With that, they all headed back toward the castle, unknowingly stepping closer to an unprecedented love story that would shake the universe.
_ _ _
As the group returned to Legend, they were met with an unusual sight.
The prisoners had captured the monster that Mike and Heidi had been chasing. Tyra, Rojo, and Blaine stood around it like ringmasters, keeping it under control.
"Well, well, well," Mike said, folding his arms. "Looks like someone did our job for us."
Heidi nodded. "Whoever you guys are, thanks. We've been chasing that thing forever."
The prisoners looked at them curiously. "And who are you supposed to be?" Tyra asked.
"We're Orb Warriors," Mike said proudly. "I'm the Blue Magician Warrior."
"And I'm the Yellow Chef Warrior," Heidi added.
The prisoners exchanged glances. "Wait... Warriors? You mean like them?" They pointed at Safari and Angeleva.
"Yeah," Mike replied. "We're Celestic Warriors, just like your fairy and devil over there."
There was a stunned silence.
"Hold on." Rojo blinked. "So you're saying you two are as powerful as them?"
Tyra, Blaine, and the others suddenly bowed at their feet.
"We are honored to be in your presence!" one of the prisoners said.
Mike stepped back awkwardly. "Uhh... What's with the bowing? We're not used to this."
Heidi whispered to Mike. "I kind of like it."
Safari sighed. "You two really had to tell them, huh?"
Meanwhile, the family explained their new 'mission'âgetting Safari and Angeleva together.
The prisoners cheered. "That's a great idea! A devil and a fairy, finally breaking the cycle of war? That would be legendary!"
Angeleva turned bright red. "Why are you all making such a big deal out of this?!"
Safari groaned. "I knew coming back was a mistake."
Ian held up his camera. "This is gold. Absolute gold."
As the chaos continued, Legend walked forward, shaking his head with amusement.
"Looks like things just got more interesting," he muttered.
As Mike and Heidi took in the scene, their attention finally landed on Legend. The moment they laid eyes on him, they both felt an overwhelming presenceâsomething far beyond any being they had encountered before.
"Whoa... Who's that?" Mike asked, staring at Legend with a mix of curiosity and unease.
"That's God Legend," Zack replied casually.
"Wait, hold upâ a real god?" Heidi said, blinking rapidly.
Mike, ever the skeptic, crossed his arms. "I don't believe in gods."
Without hesitation, he walked right up to Legend and started poking him. He tugged on his sleeve, tapped his arm, and even pulled at his hair.
"Are you really a god?" Mike muttered. "You feel kinda normalâ"
Legend's eye twitched.
Ian, always one to seize an opportunity, grinned and turned his camera toward the scene. "Oh, this is perfect. A skeptical warrior poking at a god? This is my next big documentary!"
Legend, already annoyed, snapped.
"Enough."
Without warning, he casually lifted his hand and fired a 'God's Wrath' blast straight into the sky.
The sheer force of it tore through the clouds, shaking the ground beneath them.
Mike and Heidi froze in place. The overwhelming divine energy sent chills down their spines. Their legs wobbled as they backed away.
"H-Hey now," Heidi stammered. "No need to flex your power, we get it."
Mike, now sweating, cleared his throat and awkwardly stepped back.
"...Well," he muttered, avoiding eye contact. "Guess I believe in gods now."
