Everyone rushed in.
Zack was the first to move, instantly beginning to pour healing energy into both of them, his hands trembling but focused.
Jen, with tears in her eyes, held onto Safari's hand.
Olive was at Angeleva's side, making sure she was still breathing.
Ian, already recording with shaky hands, whispered: "You better wake up... this story's not done yet."
Patrick, Grace, and all the former prisoners they had gathered around. Even the most hardened among themâTyra, Darry, Rojo, and Claraâstood silently, heads lowered with respect.
God Legend finally spoke, his voice echoing through the halls.
"They need rest. One full day. Only then will their souls begin to recover. What they endured... no mortal or god should have faced."
One day later...
Morning sunlight poured through the glass domes of Hellsgate.
Safari's eyes fluttered open first. The last thing he remembered was blinding light and the rage of Gregory and Patricia.
Angeleva stirred beside him, her wings twitching weakly before she turned to see Safari awake.
They both blinked, confused.
And then it hit them. The silence. The warmth.
The God of Conquest was gone.
They were alive.
And they had won.
As they slowly sat up, arms weak but linked, everyone around them exploded into cheers.
Zack grinned wide, tears in his eyes, hugging them both.
Jen clung to Safari's shoulder. "You idiots... You really did it!"
Olive smirked, arms crossed, but her voice cracked: "About time you two woke up."
Ian wiped his eyes behind the camera. "That... was the most epic documentary I have ever filmed. The Celestic Clash: Wrath of the Gods. I'm calling it that. I'm going to win awards!"
The freed prisoners gathered in the chamber, applauding and shouting with pure joy. Patrick and Grace brought a tray of freshly baked sweets and warm drinks, cheering louder than anyone.
Then, Zack, Jen, Ian, and Olive stepped forward together. With a soft smile, Zack said:
"From all of us... happy married life, Big bro and Big sis."
Safari's eyes widened slightly, looking at Angeleva beside him.
Angeleva, smiling gently with tears forming, leaned into him.
"Guess we really are husband and wife now."
Everyone around them laughed, clapped, and cheered againâno longer just survivors or warriors, but family.
The weight of what they had accomplished lingered in the air, but for once... it was peace.
And in that peace, the new life they had fought forâtogetherâhad just begun.
Meanwhile...
A lonely planet. Silent. Desolate. Gray skies swirling above.
Two bodiesâonce feared as the God of Conquestâlay shattered in the dust.
Gregory and Patricia, still paralyzed from the overuse of godly fusion and getting hit by Godly Unity Merge, lay side by side. The once indomitable Devil of Sappy and the Dominant Fairy of Angelica were now no more than broken warriors beneath a faded sun.
After a full day of stillness, Gregory's eyes blinked open. He groaned, unable to move, only his eyes shifting weakly to the side.
There she wasâPatricia, equally broken, barely breathing, but alive.
She blinked back.
Their fingers twitched in the dirt, desperately trying to find each otherâtrying to hold on to something real. Eventually, after painful strain, their hands touched. Barely.
Gregory coughed, blood in his throat. "...Patty... can't believe weâusâwho thought we were the peak... got wrecked... by those weaklings."
Patricia's lips curved in a broken smile. "Guess that's the end of our little dream, Greg..."
Gregory chuckled, voice dry and cracked. "They were... actually stronger than us. That's the truth."
He coughed again, eyes closing for a second. "The ones we wanted to break... torture... humiliate... were the ones who broke us. Ironical, ain't it?"
Patricia nodded slowly. "Maybe... our reign of terror was always meant to be short."
Gregory let the wind fill the silence for a few moments.
"...I never believed emotions made people strong," he said quietly, watching the dead sky. "Thought they made 'em weak. Turns out... I was wrong."
Patricia turned her head slightly to him. "Guess if our childhoods had been different... we could've been like them."
He didn't answer for a moment.
Then: "Maybe. But... I'm glad I was with you till the final."
Patricia's cracked lips trembled. "Me too."
Their fingers slowly interlockedâshaky, trembling... but together.
And in that barren world, two fallen tyrants stared at the dark sky, not as gods of conquestâ
âbut as Gregory and Patricia.
Bruised. Defeated.
And for the first time in a long time, at peace. They were no more conquerors.
Back to Hellsgate...
Hellsgate trembledânot with fear, but with joy.
Laughter, cheers, and music filled the once-bleak corridors. Lights glimmered in the sky as fireworks, crafted by some of the freed prisoners exploded in colors of sap-green and fairy pink, painting the sky in honor of the victorious Safari and Angeleva.
The newlywed warriors, injured but smiling, stood hand-in-hand as the crowd roared around them. Zack, Jen, Ian, and Olive stood at the front, clapping with proud smiles.
Ian wiped a dramatic tear. "This... this is the peak of my documentary career. The shot of you two glowing and fusingâlegendary. I'm calling it Gods of Love and War. Coming soon to the Galactic Archive."
Safari rolled his eyes, smirking. "Just don't over-edit my jawline."
Angeleva laughed softly and squeezed Safari's hand.
ThenâGod Legend stepped forward, his divine form glowing gently. The cheering softened to a hush as all eyes turned.
"I have an announcement," he said. "It is time... I return to Planet Satan."
There was a stunned silenceâuntil the family, Safari's close crew and allies, slowly looked at one another in realization.
Jen whispered, "He told us before..."
Zack nodded, eyes wide. "That he used to be the God of Planet Satan. Before Raven sealed him."
Legend nodded solemnly. "When Raven came to conquer Satan, I opposed him. I was defeated, sealed. Since then, the planet decayed, cursed by darkness. But now... with Raven gone and no more rulers on its throne, I can make it inhabitable once again."
Some of the freed prisoners tensed at the name "Planet Satan," shuddering at the memories. "I don't want to see that hell ever again," one muttered.
But othersâTyra, Rojo, Clara, Darry, and Blaineâstood proudly. "That place might've been hell before," Tyra said, "but if Legend's going to cleanse it, maybe it's time to give it a second chance."
Clara nodded. "We can rebuild it. For the ones we lost."
Slowly, more hands roseâvolunteers, ready to return not to the past, but to forge a future. A peaceful one.
ThenâSafari and Angeleva stepped forward. The joy in their eyes was tempered now with a solemn light.
"Legend," Safari said, "Can you locate the bodies of Gregory and Patricia?"
The divine being raised an eyebrow. "Why? They were your greatest enemies. They nearly destroyed you. You owe them nothing."
Angeleva's voice was quiet, but firm. "They were monsters, yes. Sadistic, power-hungry, cruel... But they were also the last survivors of our homeworlds."
Safari took a deep breath, his voice low but resolute. "Gregory... he had no love or respect for Sappy. He mocked it, twisted everything it once stood for. But... he was from there. Just like me." He glanced at the symbol etched into his gauntletâthe emblem of his fallen planet. "And maybe... that's exactly why I have to do this. He was the only other person from Sappy. As much as I hated him, I have to pay my final respects. Not just to him... but for the sake of Sappy itself."
Angeleva stepped closer, her wings shifting softly in the breeze. "And Patricia... she rejected everything about Angelica. She had hated Angelica's kindness it once stood for and wanted cruelty. But... she was still the last one from there. Besides me." She looked down, then to the heavens. "And I can't let her memory be buried in nothing but hatred. I need to say goodbye. For Angelica. For the fairy world she abandoned... and the one I still carry in my heart."
Legend's eyes, once unreadable, softened as he regarded them both. He saw not just warriorsâbut souls trying to honor the ashes of their pasts.
"Very well," he said at last. He lifted a hand, opening a glowing celestial window in the air. "They lie together. Still breathing, though paralyzed, on a dead, isolated world. I will take you there. But you must be prepared... for what you might see."
Safari and Angeleva nodded in unison.
"We are," Safari said.
"For them," Angeleva whispered.
And with that, the light surrounded themâcarrying them toward a solemn encounter neither sought, but both needed. Not for Gregory and Patricia...
But for the memory of Sappy. And the spirit of Angelica.
The divine light faded, and Safari and Angeleva found themselves standing on the barren surface of a gray, silent world. The wind whispered across broken stones and jagged terrain, a lifeless planet untouched by civilization or warâjust emptiness.
And there, in the center of a shallow crater, lay Gregory and Patricia.
They were side by side, paralyzed but conscious. Their faces, once twisted by dominance and ego, now held a haunting stillness. Their bodies trembled faintly, unable to move. Their fingers, just barely brushing.
Safari walked forward slowly, his heavy boots crunching the dust beneath him. Angeleva followed, her wings dimmed but still glowing gently.
Gregory's eyes shifted with effort, struggling to look up. "...You came."
Safari stopped a few feet away, staring down at him with unreadable eyes. "I did."
Gregory coughed weakly. "What? Here to mock us before we die? Tell us how pathetic we are now?"
Safari shook his head. "No. I came to pay my final respect... as the last survivor of Sappy."
Gregory's breath caught. He didn't speak.
Angeleva knelt near Patricia, who stared up at her silently. "You may have defied everything Angelica stood for... but you were still one of us. I can't deny that."
Patricia's lips trembled. "...Why? Why give us anything?"
Angeleva looked to the dark sky. "Because if we don't... we'll become just like you."
Gregory and Patricia fell silent. The wind blew once more, carrying the weight of unspoken truths.
Safari knelt down and placed a hand over Gregory's chest. "Sappy was destroyed by Raven and You were its worst reflection. But you were still part of it. And I won't deny your existence."
Angeleva did the same with Patricia. "May your soul find peace... even if you never gave it to others."
Gregory's breathing was shallow, but his voice held a rare, unfiltered honesty. "Safari... if I had just made one different choice... if my childhood had just gone a different path... maybe I'd be standing beside you, not opposite."
Safari's hand lingered a moment longer on his chest. "If that were true... you might've been the strongest ruler Sappy ever had. Strong enough to stop someone like Raven from ever laying a hand on our planet."
Gregory gave a soft, bitter laugh. "Yeah... Sappy might still be alive."
Beside them, Patricia turned her eyes toward Angeleva. Her voice, once laced with venom, now trembled with regret. "If I had just... held onto kindness for a little longer. If I hadn't abandoned it when I was a child... maybe I would've truly understood Angelica's spirit."
Angeleva placed her hand gently on Patricia's shoulder. "And if you had... you would've been the queen Angelica needed. Loved, respected... powerful. You might've saved it."
Patricia gave the smallest of smiles. "Funny. We could've been heroes, huh?"
Gregory managed a faint nod, and said to Safari, "We were born of greatness... but raised by cruelty. I guess... that's what decided everything."
Patricia added, "Still, we're the last of our worlds. That has to mean something. So live, Safari. Live well, Angeleva. Carry us with you, even if we don't deserve it. You're the last light of Sappy and Angelica now."
There was a pause. Then Gregory's gaze sharpened ever so slightly.
"Before you go... one more thing."
Patricia turned to Angeleva, her tone more serious. "There are still Demon Generals out there. Raven may be dead... but his legacy remains. They'll grow cocky, hungry, desperate."
Gregory growled under his breath, "They'll burn worlds thinking no one's strong enough to stop them now."
Patricia added, "But you two can. You must. As our final request... hunt them down. End the darkness we helped spread."
Safari gave a solemn nod. "We will."
Angeleva's wings shimmered. "For the lost... and for the future."
Gregory and Patricia gave a final lookâone of peace, of remorse, and of acceptance.
As Safari and Angeleva stepped back into the light, the winds carried the whispered echoes of two broken souls... once villains, now simply remnants of what could have been.
And far away, in Hellsgate, the celebration continued.
But in the hearts of the two warriors, a new fire had begun to burn. The mission wasn't over.
It was only just beginning.
