Chapter 183: The Fairy-Devil Family's Journey Continues!
Angeleva and Safari stood there blinking in surprise after Blaine confirmed the truth. Their twins, still giddy from solving the mystery, ran small victory laps around them.
"Well..." Safari scratched his head. "That's one random couple. I mean, really-how did you two end up together?"
Angeleva nodded, arms folded thoughtfully. "Yeah, I don't remember ever seeing you two interact much... never heard anything from Ian about your relationship...also not even in Hellsgate did we get a hint of that. You both were just... there."
Safari looked at Darry and said, "I mean, you were always quiet, stuck in your own corner, and Vera-she was from the fifth level of the prison. A total powerhouse. I would've guessed her with Rojo or someone who matched her presence."
Angeleva added, "Exactly. Ian told me eight years ago that Darry was locked in the second-level prison with Blaine, Waker, Clara, and the others. No offense, but you didn't stand out that much, Darry."
Darry gave an awkward chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck, clearly used to being underestimated.
"And Vera..." Angeleva continued, turning toward her, "you definitely stood out. Even among the elite prisoners, your abilities and presence were hard to miss."
Just then, two children came darting out of the garden gate connected to Vera and Darry's house-one was a 5-year-old boy with wavy light green hair and sharp eyes, and the other a 4-year-old girl with curly dark green hair and an energetic bounce in her step.
They rushed straight to Darry and Vera and clung to their parents.
"Mom! Dad! Who are they?" the little girl asked curiously, glancing at Safari and Angeleva.
"They're friends," Vera replied with a smile, brushing the girl's hair back gently.
Safari raised a brow, now more curious. "Wait a minute... Darry, how old are you anyway?"
"You definitely look younger than Vera," Angeleva said, glancing between the two.
Vera gave a sly smile. "Well, I'm thirty-three now. What of it?"
Safari looked over at Darry with a playful smirk. "So, you married an older lady, huh?"
Darry shrugged and gave a confident grin for once. "You guys misjudged me. I'm actually thirty-six."
There was a pause. Even the twins blinked at that one.
"WHAT?" Safari blurted.
"No way," Angeleva added, her eyes wide.
Even Blaine, who'd been silently enjoying the show, let out a low laugh. "Told you all, Darry's got layers."
Darry chuckled. "Just because I kept to myself doesn't mean I'm the youngest around."
Vera crossed her arms and smirked, "And for the record, I didn't marry him because of his age. I married him because he's reliable, calm, and never gives up-even in silence. That, and he makes a killer vegetable stew."
Their kids laughed, repeating "killer stew!" as if it were the punchline to the best joke ever.
Safari shook his head in disbelief. "Alright, alright. You win, Darry. Guess you're still full of surprises."
Angeleva smiled warmly at the family. "It's honestly heartwarming seeing you all like this."
And with that, the unexpected couple, their adorable children, and the group of reunited friends all shared a quiet moment, the kind that comes only after years of battle, rebuilding, and learning that even the most unlikely paths can lead to beautiful destinations.
As the sun began to set on Planet Satan, Safari, Angeleva, and their twins stood at the edge of their ship, waving goodbye to Blaine, Darry, Vera, and the other former prisoners who had gathered to see them off along with there previous family. The whole day had been an emotional reunion-a walk through memories, surprises, and new bonds. Now, it was time to continue their mission.
Before boarding, Safari turned to everyone and declared, "We'll return once we liberate a few more planets. There are still places under the control of Raven's remaining Demon Generals."
Angeleva nodded in agreement. "We'll make sure no planet has to suffer under darkness again. Then we'll settle here permanently, with all of you."
Cheers erupted from the group as the ship's engines roared to life. The twins stood at the viewing window, excitedly pointing out stars as their ship broke through Planet Satan's atmosphere.
As they soared through space, the usual cosmic peace was suddenly broken.
Giant meteors began crashing into their trajectory. Safari gritted his teeth and immediately steered the ship in evasive maneuvers. "Hold on!"
"Too many!" he muttered, adjusting the controls rapidly.
Without a second thought, Angeleva opened the hatch and flew outside, her fairy wings glowing bright in the vacuum of space. She launched bursts of fairy beam, blasting several meteoroids into stardust.
Safari was too focused on piloting until he glanced over his shoulder-and froze.
The twins were gone.
"WHAT?!" Safari shouted, panicked. "Where are the kids?!"
He rapidly scanned the ship's interface... until he saw them-outside, in space.
His eyes widened in sheer disbelief as the external cameras showed his two children, laughing and zooming around with their wings, dodging space debris.
They were fearlessly fighting tiny meteors.
The girl twin smacked a meteor into dust using a Devil Smack, inherited from Safari himself, while the boy twin used a blinding Fairy Radiance, inherited from Angeleva, vaporizing another chunk of rock midair.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Safari shrieked, heart pounding.
Just then, a massive meteor came hurling toward them.
Safari aimed the ship's cannons and fired a blast that split the meteor into several smaller chunks-but the fragments were still dangerously close to his kids.
"NO!!" he shouted, already prepping to launch the ship toward them.
But before he could move-
BOOM!
Angeleva soared in at full speed, placing herself between the fragments and the twins. Her wings flared, and she summoned her Fairy Justice Beam using her Fairy Wand, unleashing a dazzling beam that obliterated every last rock fragment. The path was clear again.
The kids floated in awe of their mother's power... until they heard their father's voice booming through the comms.
"GET BACK IN HERE. NOW!"
Moments later, the twins floated back inside, heads lowered.
Safari didn't wait.
"Do you have any idea what you just did?! You could've been killed! This isn't a game!!" he yelled, voice sharper than they'd ever heard.
The twins burst into tears, trembling under their father's intense scolding.
Angeleva quickly stepped in, hugging them both. "It's okay. You're safe now," she said softly, caressing their hair. "But please, don't scare us like that again. We were so worried."
Sniffling, the twins nodded. "Sorry, Mama... Sorry, Papa..."
"Shh... it's okay... we just got scared for you." She stroked their heads with her soft hands. "You're very strong, but we don't want to lose you."
The twins nodded slowly, sniffling as they buried their faces into her shoulder.
Safari crossed his arms and huffed.
"Angeleva, you're too soft on them."
Angeleva looked up and smiled knowingly. "And you're too strict."
Safari grumbled, but after a moment, he smirked.
"Fine. But they need discipline. Too much care will spoil them."
Angeleva chuckled. "And too much strictness will scare them away."
They both laughed softly.
They were different, but together, they balanced each other perfectly as parents
With the danger behind them, Safari and Angeleva looked out into the vast, endless galaxy.
There were still some planets yet to be liberated.
Still ruled by tyrants, waiting to be freed.
Angeleva took Safari's hand and smiled.
"Shall we continue?"
Safari grinned.
"Of course. Let's find our next adventure."
The twins, now calm, smiled excitedly.
"Yay! More adventure!"
And with that, the family soared through the stars once again-with the goal of liberating the few planets ruled by Raven's remaining demon generals.
And when they manage to achieve that they will settle in Planet Satan.
