Chapter 69: The New Life Of The Orb Warriors

Almost after a year, Mike and Heidi's life changed a lot as:-

Mike and Heidi had turned their spaceship into a true home.

Heidi designed a high-tech kitchen chamber, equipped with automatic cooking machines and advanced storage systems that preserved ingredients from across the universe. This was her sanctuary, where she experimented with intergalactic cuisines.

Mike, on the other hand, built a magic chamber filled with illusions, artifacts, and mystical tools. A special hatch system allowed them to perform outside their spaceship, taking their acts directly to the audience.

Through a perfect combination of magic and cooking, their business flourished.

People came from all over to watch Mike’s dazzling magic tricks while enjoying Heidi’s delicious food. They were partners—not just in business but in life.

They supported each other in everything. They even liberated planets secretly sometimes if they got such news.

At night, after their shows, they would sit on the deck of their spaceship, gazing at the stars, feeling grateful for their life together.

One evening, Heidi leaned against Mike’s shoulder, smiling.

Heidi: "You know, I think we really made it, huh?"

Mike chuckled, wrapping an arm around her.

Mike: "Yeah… but only because you kept punching away all our problems."

Heidi grinned, playfully elbowing him.

Heidi: "And you kept dazzling away all mine."

The two laughed, knowing that no matter what, they always had each other’s backs

Ten years had passed since then...

They were no longer just warriors — now they were beloved celebrities. Mike had now become a world-renowned magician, captivating crowds with his spectacular performances. Heidi had now achieved the title of ā€œBest Chef in the Universeā€ — her dishes were legendary, and her cooking programs were loved across the galaxies. Despite their fame, they remained the same rebellious couple, sharing laughs and bickering like they always did.

Then One day—

It was a day of celebration on Planet Veridra, known for its vibrant festivals. Mike was dazzling the crowds with his magic in a special street performance. Heidi was hosting her Special Cooking Program nearby, serving delicacies that left the audience in awe. By the time they were done, the sun had set, and people cheered for both of them. Mike waved to the crowd, his charming smile stealing hearts, while Heidi gave a triumphant bow, savoring the praise. But as always, they longed to return to their spaceship — their real home. As Mike walked toward the spaceship, two small figures ran straight to him. Twins: "Daddy!" A boy and girl threw their arms around their father. Mike stumbled slightly from the force but laughed, lifting them both with ease. They were both 8 years old. Mike: "Woah, my little rebels! Missed me that much?" Boy: "Of course! Your tricks are the best!" Girl: "But Mom’s cooking is unbeatable!" Mike smirked. Mike: "Guess I’ll have to step up my game, huh?" The twins giggled, holding him tightly. _ _ _ But then — the mood shifted. A woman with striking features, wearing an elaborate dress, suddenly approached. Her eyes gleamed with obsession as she clung to Mike’s arm. Woman: "Mike… I’m your biggest fan. Finally, I found you." Mike tensed, his discomfort evident. The twins’ smiles faded as they pulled away. Boy: "Let go of our dad!" Girl: "Mom won’t forgive you for this!" The woman sneered, paying no attention to the children. Woman: "Your mom? Please. Mike deserves someone who truly understands him. Abandon them. Be with me instead." Mike’s hands clenched. Mike: "That’s not happening." But then — the woman pulled out a gun, pointing it directly at the twins. Woman: "If you refuse, they die." Mike’s heart pounded. His mind raced for a way out. He couldn’t use magic without endangering his children. The crowd trembled seeing it with different expressions. "She... is the feared criminal who had been terrorizing our planet. I feel bad for the greatest magician." "No way, she had crossed her boundaries. How could she target the innocent kids?" "I am out of here. I don't want to involve myself with her. They had already slaughtered my entire family." The twins’ terrified eyes searched for hope. Twins: "Mom! Mom!" In an instant, a figure rushed from the shadows. Heidi. Before the woman could react, Heidi’s fist connected with a ferocious punch. The woman crashed into a nearby wall, dropping the gun. The crowd gasped. Twins: "Mom!" They ran to her, clutching her tightly. Heidi hugged them, trembling with anger. Heidi: "No one threatens my children." The crowd sighed in relief. "Never imagined, the best chef to be this powerful!" "It's my first time, seeing the Woman beaten up. They really did it." "They made history." But the threat wasn’t over. A group of large men, the woman’s gang members, stormed forward. They restrained Heidi using high tech grippers, attempting to overpower her. She struggled, but their strength combined was immense combined with their invincible tools. Not even the strongest of Warriors had been able to break through the grippers once caught off guard. Mike’s voice boomed. Mike: "That’s enough." He reached into his sleeve and pulled out a glowing card, flicking it into the air. In a burst of light, the men were instantly put to sleep, their bodies collapsing like rag dolls and the grippers were deactivated by one of Mike's potion. Heidi smirked. Heidi: "Nice trick, magician." Mike: "And a perfect finish." He extended his hand. Heidi took it without hesitation. With the twins following close behind, they boarded their spaceship. The crowd gasped not able to process everything. "They suit each other pretty well." "Can't believe the ones terrorizing our planet getting whitewashed by the celebrity power couple!" "We owe you a lot. Thanks for your help." Mike and Heidi waved their hands at them in response. Even their children climbed their bodies as they waved too.

After leaving the planet...

Inside their ship, the twins who were a combination of both their parents individually clung to them. Boy twin: ā€œYou two always win when you’re together!ā€ Girl twin: ā€œYeah, no one can beat Mom and Dad!ā€ Mike and Heidi exchanged a smile, their fingers intertwined. Heidi: "Of course. You think we’d let anyone come between us?" Mike: "Not a chance." They all sat together in silence gazing at the atmosphere in the monitor. The twins clung to them observing with curious eyes.

After a few moments of silence...

Heidi (remembering something): "I’ll never forget how much you cried when I collapsed after giving birth." Mike’s face flushed. Mike: "That was a stressful day! You almost—" Heidi: "Oh please, you were bawling!" Mike: "I was concerned! That’s called being supportive!ā€ The twins giggled as the argument escalated, with both parents firing playful jabs at each other. Finally, exhausted from laughter, the twins climbed onto their parents’ laps. Boy: "Mom, Dad… You’re both amazing." Girl: "We’re lucky to have you." Mike and Heidi's hands rested gently on their children’s heads, warmth filling their hearts. Mike: "And we’re lucky to have you two." The ship drifted into the vastness of space, but no matter where they traveled, they knew one thing for certain: Their family’s bond was unbreakable.
