After their stroll through the bustling market, the family finally approached Heatsunâs base â a magnificent golden and deep blue structure that stood as a symbol of resilience.
Though it once served as a fortress against Dark Voidâs forces, it was now a peaceful residence for Heatsun and Moonsalt.
The children sprinted ahead, filled with excitement.
Eva (smiling softly):
"Grandpa and Grandma are going to be so happy."
Naomi smiled, recalling how far things had come.
Heatsun and Moonsalt had found healing through the love of their family. They had become doting grandparents who adored every moment with their grandchildren.
The grand doors opened as Heatsun and Moonsalt stepped out, their faces lighting up the moment they saw their grandchildren. Heatsun still radiated strength. Moonsalt, ever graceful, spread her arms wide.
Heatsun (booming voice):
"Thereâs my little troublemakers!"
Lina and Leo:
"Grandpa!"
The twins tackled Heatsun with fierce hugs, making him laugh heartily. Ethan and Eva approached Moonsalt calmly, receiving her gentle embrace.
Moonsalt:
"My dears, you've grown so much."
Jim and Naomi soon followed, exchanging warm hugs with Heatsun and Moonsalt.
Heatsun (smirking at Jim):
"Still keeping up with these four? They seem like quite the handful."
Jim grinned.
Jim:
"They get it from their grandpa."
Everyone laughed.
The family gathered in the spacious garden of the base, where lush Solunar flowers bloomed.
The children played joyfully, creating orbs of Solar and Lunar energy for harmless games. Ethan and Eva demonstrated small, controlled Solar-Lunar blasts, impressing Heatsun and Moonsalt.
Heatsun:
"Their control is remarkable for their age."
Naomi nodded, pride evident in her eyes.
Naomi:
"They're fast learners. But they still have a lot to understand about balance."
Heatsun smiled softly.
Heatsun:
"Then theyâre in good hands."
Later, as the sun began to set, Heatsun and Moonsalt gathered the children for a story.
Moonsalt:
"Did you know your father once thought he wasnât worthy of love?"
The children gasped.
Leo:
"But Dadâs the strongest!"
Ethan:
"And the kindest."
Jim chuckled, a little embarrassed.
Jim:
"Itâs true. But your mother helped me realize that being strong isnât about fighting alone. Itâs about protecting what you love â and believing that you're worthy of it."
Naomi gave Jimâs hand a gentle squeeze.
Naomi:
"And now, you four are proof of that."
Lina and Leo snuggled into their grandparents, while Ethan and Eva listened attentively.
Moonsalt:
"Family makes us strong. No matter what challenges come, as long as you stand together, nothing can break you."
The children nodded, their hearts filled with warmth.
That night, as the stars sparkled above Soluna, Jim and Naomi stood side by side, watching their children peacefully sleep in their grandparentsâ arms. The burden of the past had lifted, and the future was bright.
Jim:
"Weâve built something beautiful, havenât we?"
Naomi:
"And no matter what comes, weâll protect it. Together."
They leaned against each other, their hearts beating as one.
_ _ _
After an hour, the children left the base and went on their own to enjoy some more. They were running through the streets with Jim chasing them comically.
The streets of Soluna were alive with laughter and chatter as Jim chased his four children through the bustling marketplace.
The golden sun shone brightly, casting a radiant glow across the city.
Leo (grinning):
"Youâll never catch us, Dad!"
Jim (smirking):
"Oh, weâll see about that!"
The mischievous twins, Leo and Lina, dashed ahead, with Ethan and Eva following closely behind.
People watched in amusement as the Solunar Grey Warrior played with his children like an ordinary father.
But just as Jim was closing the gap, the children suddenly collided with four other kids. The force of the impact sent them tumbling to the ground.
Leo (irritated):
"Hey, watch where youâre going!"
Oliver (red-haired, 9 years old):
"You bumped into us first!"
Melany (blue-haired, 8 years old):
"Typical Solar-Lunar kids! Always running around like they own the place."
Ivy (yellow-haired, 8 years old):
"Youâre the reckless ones!"
Sword (green-haired, 7 years old):
"You messed with the wrong family!"
The argument quickly escalated, with both sides raising their voices. Jim sighed deeply, recognizing the familiar scene. It wasnât the first time this had happened.
Jim (muttering to himself):
"Not again..."
The bystanders exchanged knowing glances, some stifling laughter. It was practically a tradition at this point â Jimâs children and these children were notorious for their constant squabbles.
Just as Jim was contemplating how to break up the fight, a commanding voice rang out.
???
"Enough!"
A boy with neatly combed brown hair and striking eyes approached.
He stood tall for his age, with an aura of composure well beyond his 12 years. The people of Soluna immediately turned their gaze toward him, bowing respectfully.
Crowd (in unison):
"Prince Edward!"
Jim smiled, a mix of pride and amusement on his face. The boy wasnât just any prince â he was Edward, the eldest son of Tim and Rei.
Edward (sternly):
"What are you all fighting for this time?"
The children hesitated. Even the fiery Oliver and stubborn Leo lowered their heads.
No one wanted to be scolded by Edward, who had inherited not only the Solar and Lunar powers of his parents but also their sense of responsibility.
Leo (grumbling):
"They started it."
Oliver:
"Did not!"
Edward shook his head. Then looked at the other 4 children.
Edward:
"You 4 are princes and princesses of Soluna. You're supposed to represent peace, not cause chaos."
The children shuffled awkwardly, guilt washing over them.
After the tension eased, Edward turned toward Jim and bowed respectfully.
Edward:
"Master Jim. I apologize for the trouble. I should have been here sooner."
Jim chuckled, ruffling Edward's hair.
Jim:
"No need to be so formal, Edward. Youâre family, not just my student."
Edward smiled, though his composed demeanor never faltered.
Jim:
"And besides, Iâm pretty sure Tim and Rei will be here any moment to deal with this themselves."
These 4 children Oliver, Melany, Ivy and Sword turned out to be the biological children of Tim and Rei along with there elder brother Edward.
Right on cue, the distant sound of footsteps echoed through the street.
The crowd parted as Tim and Rei, the King and Queen of Soluna, approached.
Their presence was striking â Timâs white warrior robes gleamed under the sun, while Reiâs black cloak shimmered with Lunar elegance. Both held an undeniable regal air, yet warmth radiated from their expressions.
Tim (crossing his arms with a grin):
"Let me guess. Another royal rivalry?"
Rei (sighing):
"At least no buildings were destroyed this time."
Jim laughed as the children scrambled to straighten up, suddenly on their best behavior.
Oliver (pouting):
"Father, it wasnât our fault!"
Leo:
"They started it!"
Tim raised a brow, trying to keep a stern face.
Tim:
"Is that so? And what would your Uncle Jim say about that?"
Jim:
"Oh, Iâd say itâs a draw. But judging by how quickly Edward ended the argument, I think heâs already the better peacemaker."
Edward flushed slightly at the praise.
Rei (softly):
"Weâre proud of you, Edward."
Edward nodded, determination gleaming in his eyes.
With the tension gone, the children soon returned to their cheerful selves, chatting and laughing as if nothing had happened.
Tim turned to Jim with a grin.
Tim:
"Itâs good to see you enjoying family time. Hard to believe we were once just reckless warriors ourselves."
Jim (smiling):
"Yeah. And now weâre the ones cleaning up after the next generation."
Rei chuckled.
Rei:
"But thatâs how it should be. Our children will forge their own paths â just as we did."
Jim looked over at his own kids, who were already planning their next game with Edward and his siblings.
Jim:
"And I wouldnât have it any other way."
With that, the royal family of Soluna and the Solunar Warriorâs family stood together, a symbol of peace and unity.
The sun above shone brightly, illuminating the bonds that could never be broken.
