The dark chambers of Dark Void's baseship echoed with tension.
Sunburn's jaw tightened, his usual fiery arrogance dimmed by Moonsalt's confident smirk.
"You're saying she can handle the Solar Warrior?" Sunburn finally asked, his voice laced with jealousy.
Moonsalt chuckled softly. "Not just handle him - crush him."
Dark Void, sitting on his obsidian throne, tapped his fingers rhythmically. "I've kept an eye on her progress over the years... but is she truly ready?"
Moonsalt's smirk deepened. "She's not just ready - she's eager."
With a wave of her hand, the doors to the chamber creaked open. A figure stepped through the shadows.
The atmosphere seemed to darken with her presence. Long, jet-black hair fell over her shoulders, her cold eyes reflecting no emotion.
She wore dark armor, and strapped to her back were her twin crescent hatchets - weapons forged from pure lunar energy.
Dark Void's gaze sharpened. "Show me."
Without a word, she unsheathed her hatchets and raised them high. A pulse of dark blue energy radiated from her body as the hatchets glowed brighter, forming two radiant arcs of lunar light.
"Lunar Eclipse - Dark Ascension!"
A flash of light consumed her, and when it faded, she had transformed into the Black Lunar Warrior - her armor now darker than night, glowing lunar symbols swirling across her chestplate, and a deep black aura flickering like a shadowy flame around her.
Dark Void's lips curled into a rare smile. "Truly magnificent."
Even Sunburn had to admit - this was power.
Dark Void leaned forward, his voice smooth yet commanding. "Rei, your task is simple - conquer Soluna."
He gestured to a hologram of the planet, where Solar and Lunar villages were scattered across the map.
"I will supply you with an army - a battalion of my strongest troops."
Rows of holographic dark soldiers appeared beside the map - robotic warriors with weapons infused by dark energy, far more advanced than those Tim had fought before.
"March into Soluna and claim it for us." Dark Void's smile darkened. "And if you manage to defeat the Solar Warrior, Tim or whoever it was... there will be a reward."
Rei's voice, calm and icy, finally broke the silence.
"I don't care for rewards."
Moonsalt grinned proudly.
"I only care about victory."
As Dark Void's troops prepared for their descent onto Soluna, Moonsalt walked beside Rei down the corridor.
"Don't underestimate him," Moonsalt warned. "The Solar Warrior isn't a weakling."
Rei's expression didn't change. "No matter how strong he is, I'll make sure I win this."
Sunburn, leaning against a wall, smirked. "We'll see, Lunar Warrior."
But Rei didn't even acknowledge him.
In her mind, there was only one target - the Solar Warrior.
The boy named Tim.
Though her memory was foggy, a strange, hollow feeling stirred in her chest whenever she heard his name - as if somewhere deep down... she had once known him.
_ _ _
The sky darkened as Dark Void's troops stormed the land, tearing through villages and burning everything in their path.
Screams of Solar and Lunar residents echoed across the fields, the once fragile peace between the two races now shattered under the merciless assault.
Leading the destruction were Moonsalt and Rei like a deadly pair.
Moonsalt, her weapon glowing with dark lunar energy, unleashed devastating shockwaves that toppled buildings and sent warriors flying. Her presence was a storm - calm yet merciless.
Beside her, Rei, cut through enemies with surgical precision. Her lunar crescent hatchets sliced through everything, and every strike of her weapons seemed to drain the very light from the air.
In the heart of the destruction, Henry and Marie rallied the strongest Solar and Lunar people they could gather. Bursts of solar energy clashed against dark soldiers' weapons, and bursts of lunar energy attempted to repel the invaders.
Henry gritted his teeth as he parried an enemy's attack. "We can't hold them off for long - there's too many!"
Marie's dark blue hair whipped through the air as she deflected a dark blast. "We have to! Tim will be here soon"
And then - finally - Tim arrived.
He sprinted through the battlefield with his white hair brushing past the wind, his Solar Saber glowing with brilliant golden light.
His heart raced at the sight of Soluna burning, but his focus zeroed in on the source of the destruction - Moonsalt and Rei.
Without hesitation, he charged.
"Stop this now!" Tim shouted, leaping into the air and slashing his Solar Saber down toward Moonsalt.
But before his saber could land -
CLANG!
Two crescent-shaped hatchets blocked his saber mid-strike.
Tim's eyes widened. His blade trembled against the hatchets' lunar energy.
His opponent - Rei - stood firm, her expression cold and unyielding.
For a split second, time seemed to freeze.
Tim's heart pounded in confusion. There was something about her... something that felt... familiar.
And though Rei's face remained emotionless, a faint flicker of unease rippled through her mind as well - as if she too felt an echo of something lost.
But the moment passed.
Tim's jaw clenched.
"Who... are you?"
Rei's voice was ice. "Your enemy."
With a burst of dark energy, she pushed him back, sending Tim skidding across the ground.
Tim growled, gripping his saber tighter. "Fine."
The white light of the sun swirled around him as he raised his sword to the sky.
"Solar Warrior - Solar Ascend!"
His body glowed brilliantly as his armor materialized - glowing white with golden streaks of light, his Solar Saber crackling with power.
Rei didn't hesitate. She crossed her crescent hatchets in front of her chest, a dark blue aura wrapping around her.
"Lunar Warrior - Lunar Descend!"
In a flash, her black armor shimmered, glowing with moving crescent patterns, her hatchets now radiating lunar power.
The two warriors clashed, Solar and Lunar powers colliding - a brilliant explosion of light and darkness sending shockwaves across the battlefield.
Meanwhile...
Moonsalt, still wreaking havoc, glanced at the fierce battle between Tim and Rei.
She smirked. "So it begins."
But before she could launch another attack on Soluna's people -
"You've gone too far, Moonsalt."
A deep, familiar voice rang out.
Moonsalt's smile faded as Heatsun stepped forward, standing between her and the terrified Solar and Lunar civilians. His golden armor shimmered under the faint sun.
Moonsalt chuckled softly. "Well, well... it's been a long time, Heatsun."
He didn't flinch. "You're still as ruthless as ever."
She grinned. "And you're still as predictable."
Without another word, their battle erupted - Solar vs. Lunar.
Heatsun unleashed fiery blasts, while Moonsalt shot waves of dark lunar energy. Their attacks illuminated the sky in a dazzling dance of light and shadow - old rivals, clashing once again.
This was only the beginning.
