Chapter 86: The Warriors' Return - A New Power Awakens
Jim's breaths were ragged, his body barely holding together from the brutal torture Blooma had inflicted on him. He gripped his Solun Lance, but his hands trembled.
He had failed to stop herâagain.
But now, standing before him, radiating with newfound power, were Tim and Rei. Their auras burned brightlyâTim's golden solar energy flaring like a miniature sun, while Rei's deep blue lunar energy shimmered like an endless void, both swirling in perfect harmony.
Jim could hardly believe it.
Tim: (grinning, but serious) "We're done with the training. That 5th level was the hardest... sorry for being late."
Rei: (softly) "But you held on. You fought well, Jim. Now let us take over."
Jim hesitated, looking toward Blooma, who was regaining her footing in the distance. She was furiousâher body still singed from their unexpected return.
But seeing Tim and Rei now, something inside Jim settled.
He had done his part.
Jim: (nodding, stepping back) "Alright... show me what you've got."
Tim: (smirks, cracking his knuckles) "You bet."
Tim turned his gaze toward Blooma, rolling his shoulders.
Tim: (determined) "Rei, stand back for now. I want to test this new power first."
Rei didn't argue. She knew how much they had changed after enduring five brutal trials, each pushing them to their limits physically and mentally.
Tim tightened his grip on his Solar Saber, and in a split secondâ
BOOM!
He blasted forward, the ground beneath him shattering from the sheer force of his movement.
Blooma barely had time to react beforeâ
SLASH!
A golden solar arc ripped through the air, striking her square in the chest. She staggered back, eyes wide.
Blooma: (shocked) "What?!"
Tim didn't give her time to recover. He flashed behind her, his movements faster than before, and delivered a devastating downward strike.
CRACK!
Blooma was sent crashing into the ground, the earth beneath her exploding from the impact.
The Solunar People erupted in cheers.
Solunar People:
"The White Solar Warrior is way stronger than before!"
"He's actually overwhelming her!"
"We have hope!"
Jim watched in awe.
"Is this really the same Tim? His movements... his attacks... everything is on another level!"
Henry and Marie were barely staring at him as if they were dreaming.
Blooma slowly rose from the crater, her dark energy crackling around her.
She wiped her mouth, noticing black blood on her fingers.
Her own blood.
For the first time, she looked at Tim with something new in her eyesâuncertainty.
Blooma: (low growl) "Tch... you're stronger than before. But don't think that means you can win."
Tim twirled his Solar Saber, his golden aura flickering like an intense wildfire.
Tim: (grinning, confident) "Oh, I know I can win."
He charged again, this time even fasterâhis attacks were relentless, forcing Blooma on the defensive.
Each clash sent shockwaves across the battlefield, cracks forming in the very air around them.
Jim clenched his fists.
This wasn't like before.
This timeâBlooma was the one struggling.
Tim darted around the battlefield like a streak of white lightning, his Solar Saber a golden blur.
Each slash sent searing waves of solar energy at Blooma, forcing her back again and again. Craters formed beneath their feet, the sky above crackling with raw energy from their clash.
Tim: (grinning) "Come on, Blooma! Is that all you've got?"
The Solunar people cheered louder as Tim playfully ducked and weaved through Blooma's counterattacks, taunting her at every turn.
Tim: (mockingly) "You were talking all that big talk earlier about despair, but I'm the one giving you a headache now!"
He even went so far as to yawn exaggeratedly in the middle of dodging a blast, making a few of the Solar and Lunar children giggle nervously.
Jim, still catching his breath, couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
Jim: "Is he seriously... playing around with her?"
Heatsun and Moonsalt who somehow processed everything couldn't believe their eyes.
Blooma's face contorted with rage. Her body, once relaxed and unbothered, was now tensed.
And thenâ
Something shifted.
Her smirk disappeared.
The dark energy swirling around her suddenly condensed, the air becoming heavier.
A deep crimson glow pulsed from her tendrils, and her aura flared violently, crackling with a sinister energy that bent the very light around her.
Blooma: (coldly) "Enough."
In an instant, dozens of tendrils shot out from her backâfar faster than beforeâlashing at Tim like a storm of black whips.
Tim's grin vanished.
He barely managed to react, slashing and spinning his Solar Saber in a defensive frenzy. His blade lit up in a series of golden arcs, cutting through some tendrils, but more kept comingârelentless, faster, stronger.
For every tendril he sliced, two more took its place.
The ground cracked beneath him as he was forced back step by step.
Tim: (struggling, gritting teeth) "W-What the...?! This is... way faster than before!"
Thenâ
Several tendrils broke past his defenseâ
But before they could reach him, a wave of dark blue energy blasted them away.
Rei.
She appeared by his side in a blink, her Lunar Crescent Hatchets glowing with a fierce aura. She spun them gracefully, forming a protective lunar barrier around the Solunar people behind her.
Rei: (firmly) "My job was to observe her attacks... so I know exactly how to block them now."
Blooma, without missing a beat, launched another wave of tendrilsâthis time targeting the Solunar people, hoping to break their morale.
SLASH!
In a fluid motion, Rei's hatchets cut through every single tendril before they could reach the crowd.
The people gaspedâthen erupted in cheers again.
Solunar People:
"The Black Lunar Warrior saved us!"
"She's unstoppable!"
"They're fighting together now!"
Tim, catching his breath, glanced at Rei with a grin.
Tim: (smirking) "Guess I got too excited and let my guard down."
Rei: (dryly) "That happens when you act like a show-off."
Thenâ
BOOM!
Blooma unleashed an explosion of energy, dark tendrils swirling wildly. She was in serious mode nowâno longer playing games.
Tim and Rei stood side by side.
The playful banter was gone.
Tim: (steady voice) "I was waiting for this."
Rei: (nodding) "So was I."
