Chapter 106: The Reincarnations

The battlefield trembled as Solunar Warrior and Dark Void continued their clash, their attacks shaking the very fabric of existence. Every time their weapons met, the sky cracked, and the landscape shifted between blinding light and endless void.

The Solunar people, the resistance—all of them watched in awe.

"Solunar Warrior... you are our last hope!"

"Tim, Rei... you two were meant for this! End the chaos!"

"Dark Void must fall!"

Sheila clenched her fists, her twin sabers glowing. "They can win! I know they can!"

Jim, still weakened, but filled with resolve, gritted his teeth. "Tim... Rei... don't lose."

Dr. Aron held his wife Sheila close as their children clutched their hands. "They are the last hope of Soluna..."

Jeromy smirked. "Come on, show that bastard what happens when he messes with Soluna."

Henry and Marie held their hands together, their energy supporting Solunar Warrior. "You represent all of us. Don't falter now!"

Gravik, though normally joking, wiped the sweat off his brow. "Tch... No tension, no tension—just win already!"

Their cheers fueled the Solunar Warrior, their faith strengthening the divine being in battle.

Dark Void, enraged, summoned an abyssal storm, launching tendrils of darkness that twisted through reality.

Solunar Warrior countered with radiant crescents, dispersing the void with each elegant strike of their Solunar Divinity Edge.

But deep within the warrior—inside their very soul—Tim and Rei saw something.

6000 Years Ago...

A golden palace stood tall under the twin suns of Planet Sola, and a dark blue castle gleamed under the twin moons of Planet Luna. Two figures appeared in the vision: A Solar Prince, his hair yellow like the sun, his eyes sharp and proud, donned in golden dress. A Lunar Princess, her dark blue hair flowing like the moon's glow, her gaze calm yet determined, draped in a royal blue lunar gown. Tim and Rei felt their emotions—not as themselves, but as these past souls they once were. They saw battles between Sola and Luna, where Solar Warriors rained fire upon the Lunar Kingdom, while Lunar Knights froze Solar lands in retaliation. Despite being the strongest warriors of their planets, the Prince and Princess both knew—this war was meaningless. Yet their people refused to listen, bound by their hatred. Even though they were rulers, their commands to stop the war were ignored. Some even betrayed them, trying to kill them for suggesting peace. But they did not run out of fear. They escaped to the planet between their worlds—the same planet that would later be known as Soluna. There, beneath the twin suns and moons, they spoke as equals, not enemies. They saw past their differences and knew that Solar and Lunar people were never meant to be divided. Their hearts aligned, and together, they made a choice. "If our people will not listen, then we will create something that will guide them, even beyond our own lives." By combining their Solar and Lunar powers, they sacrificed their mortal forms to bring life to a Celestial Guardian—Solarae. "Solarae... watch over them. Guide them. If unity is ever forgotten, return and remind them of what we stood for." Their souls merged into Solarae, their very essence shaping his divine presence. But they knew their mission was not complete. Bound by destiny, their souls reincarnated as Tim and Rei—this time, born as humans on Earth, so they would grow without the burden of war, yet still find their way back to Soluna.

Back in the Present

Tim and Rei, inside Solunar Warrior, finally understood their true origins. "We were always meant to unite." "This battle... was always meant to happen." Their souls synchronized even further, their emotions completely merged. The Solunar Warrior's aura erupted, shining brighter than ever before—half golden, half dark blue, yet entirely divine. Dark Void staggered back, his abyssal form trembling. "NO! THIS CANNOT BE! I AM A GOD! YOU ARE MORTALS!" Solunar Warrior pointed their blade at him, their voice echoing with the combined strength of their past and present selves. "You were never a god, Dark Void." "True power isn't destruction. It is unity." With that, they pressed forward, their divinity edge slashing through Dark Void's defenses. Every strike landed shook the battlefield, forcing the dark entity backward. Yet, even after taking those devastating blows, Dark Void grinned. "So... it has finally come to this. You two... the reincarnations of Soluna's creators." Solunar Warrior's stance remained firm, but inside, Tim and Rei felt a chill run through them. "You knew about us?" Dark Void chuckled darkly, his abyssal energy pulsating. "Of course I knew. I've known for far longer than you can imagine." He lifted his hand, forming a swirling mass of void energy, distorting reality around him. His eyes, glowing with infinite darkness, burned with a sinister intelligence. "I have always desired godhood. But to truly ascend, I needed the ultimate power—the power of Solarae itself. I spent centuries researching the history of Soluna, but I went deeper than that. I uncovered the true origin of Soluna... and the two fools who created it." Solunar Warrior's aura flared, but Dark Void continued, his voice dripping with malice. "I knew it wouldn't be easy to take Solarae's power. So I planned ahead. 16 years ago, I sensed an energy—an energy identical to the Soluna. I knew it had to be the creator's energy. As they poured their energies to create Solarae which was the energy in Soluna. As the creators were not alive, I knew you had to be there reincarnations or something similar." Solunar Warrior froze. "Sixteen years ago...?" Dark Void's grin widened. "That's right. When I followed the energy signature, I tracked it to a faraway world—a pathetic little planet called Earth. There, I found two children. A ten-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl. Their combined energy matched the reincarnations of Soluna's creators." Inside Solunar Warrior, Tim and Rei's minds raced. "Wait... A ten-year-old boy... and a seven-year-old girl...?" It hit them instantly. Tim... was ten. Rei... was seven. They had been Dark Void's targets all along. Dark Void's voice turned venomous. "I ordered Sunburn to abduct those children. My plan was simple—I would raise them myself, bend them to my will, and mold them into my pawns. With their combined power, I would get close to Solarae's energy and take it for myself." He turned his gaze toward Henry and Marie, his hatred burning. "But those bastards ruined my fun. They rescued the boy... but at least I still had the girl." Rei's heart pounded. Dark Void laughed coldly. "That's right. I knew the boy would be a problem if he survived, but I had an alternative plan—Moonsalt." Solunar Warrior's energy flared violently, but Dark Void continued. "I had Moonsalt train the girl, raising her into a warrior equal to Tim. That way, I wouldn't have to do anything. She would be my tool, my perfect weapon against him." Inside Solunar Warrior, Rei clenched her fists, her memories flooding back—the rigorous training, the endless battles, the pain, the isolation. Dark Void's smirk deepened. "For years, I waited. I let Moonsalt shape her into the warrior I needed. Meanwhile, I prepared my grander scheme. 16 years later, I launched an attack on Soluna—not just to conquer it, but to force Solarae to appear." He lifted a crackling void sphere, its power twisting the sky itself. "But then, you, my dear boy, had to ruin everything." Tim's anger flared inside Solunar Warrior. "You mean when I fought back?" Dark Void snarled. "Exactly. When you returned, you became an obstacle. And to make it worse, Moonsalt betrayed me after realizing her son was alive but now she should be rotting somewhere in Soluna along with her beloved. Even when I tried to dispose of the boy and the girl, the boy ruined it. It again turned out as a deja vu with the girl when I summoned my elite commanders. And now, I must face your combined power." His form expanded, his energy reaching godlike levels, distorting reality. "BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER!" Dark Void's void tendrils lashed out, striking Solunar Warrior with cosmic force. The legendary battle continued, but now, Tim and Rei knew the full truth. Dark Void had spent centuries preparing for this moment. He had manipulated history, controlled powerful warriors, and even tried to steal their destiny.
