The battlefield, once a raging storm of sand, poison, and blood, now lay silent — the only sounds were the faint groans of the recovering warriors and the soft whisper of wind.
Kairo, his arms still securely holding Yuki against his chest, walked with steady determination towards the barely conscious figure of Wine.
Wine, broken and bloodied, coughed violently, purple blood staining his lips. His once-cocky smirk was gone, replaced by a fearful, dazed expression as Kairo loomed over him.
Without hesitation, Kairo grabbed Wine by the collar, pulling him upright with a strength that sent a clear message — he wasn’t asking.
“The antidote.” Kairo’s voice was a low growl, his water still swirling threateningly around him. “Now.”
Wine, realizing he had no options left, shakily reached into a hidden pocket, pulling out a small vial of glowing green liquid — the antidote to the deadly poison. His hand trembled as he passed it to Kairo, who snatched it away without a word.
Turning swiftly, Kairo walked over to Sylvia and handed her the vial. “You know what to do.”
Sylvia, though still weak from the poison, nodded and took the vial. Using her Nature powers, she carefully extracted a sample of the antidote’s essence, merging it with her plant-based abilities. Vines extended from her fingertips, glowing softly, and she spread the antidote into the air like a delicate pollen cloud.
“Let’s start with ourselves,” she muttered, allowing the antidote to flow through her own body first. The dark veins of poison creeping along her skin slowly faded, replaced by her natural, healthy glow.
She then turned her focus to the rest of the Nature tribe, gently healing each member by producing more antidote-infused plants. Soon, the other tribe healers followed her lead — Nature tribe members secreting the antidote through their abilities, healing not only their own but also the Magma, Sand, Ice, and Aqua tribes.
One by one, the fallen leaders — Dune, Arson, Glacius, Peggy and even Queen Veyra — slowly regained their strength as the antidote reached them. Their weak bodies shuddered at first, but as the poison receded, their energy began to return.
It wasn’t long before every tribe member — from the fiercest warriors to the most innocent bystanders — stood tall again.
Raiken from the Thunder tribe directly after healing marched back with his soldiers. Before parting he coldly thanked Kairo. On his way he said:-
"That Kairo! He is getting popular yet again. He became the center of attention when I didn't? But next time, I will not only become popular but also spread Thunder Tribe's name all throughout the World."
Lord Metal from the metal tribe alongside his soldiers thanked Kairo for healing them.
But then… all eyes shifted to the last two figures lying still.
Hax and Mystra.
The fearsome leaders of the Dragon and Bug tribes.
Kairo crossed his arms and glanced at Sylvia. “Heal them.”
Sylvia hesitated. “Are you sure? If we heal them now… they might—”
Kairo cut her off. “They’d see it as a humiliation if we left them like this. Healing them doesn’t mean we trust them — it means we remind them who we are.” His voice was steady but firm. “They won’t threaten us again anytime soon.”
Sylvia exhaled sharply but nodded. The antidote-infused vines slithered across the ground, carefully wrapping around Hax and Mystra. Moments later, the poison’s dark tendrils faded from their skin, and both leaders slowly opened their eyes, glaring — not in rage, but in quiet shock.
Now, with every leader and warrior standing, the battlefield once again fell into silence.
All eyes were on Kairo and Yuki.
Yuki still lay weakly in Kairo’s arms, her breathing soft but steady. Her earlier fury — fueled by the Sand-God’s possession — had long faded, but the memory of her power remained etched in the minds of everyone present.
The crowd didn’t look at her with disgust anymore.
No.
They looked at her with fear… and awe.
Even those who once called her “undesirable” now realized that Yuki was something else entirely — a force of nature, stronger than anyone had ever guessed.
Queen Veyra, leaning on Glacius for support, finally broke the silence. “Kairo… what is Yuki doing here?”
Kairo met her gaze. “She’s my wife.”
Veyra blinked in disbelief. “Your… wife?”
Kairo nodded. “And we have twins.”
The weight of those words seemed to hit the entire battlefield at once.
Dune, still sitting weakly on the ground, looked as if the wind had been knocked out of him again — not by a battle, but by shock.
“You have… twins?” Dune repeated, his voice hoarse.
Kairo adjusted his hold on Yuki, who stirred slightly in his arms. “Yes. Our newborn twins — a boy and a girl.” He glanced at Veyra. “They’re safe, resting in your palace right now.”
Veyra’s eyes widened even further. “My… nephew and niece are in my palace?”
Kairo gave a small, tired smirk. “I guess they are.”
Dune, still stunned, finally pushed himself upright, his gaze fixed on Kairo. “Can I… see them?”
Kairo raised an eyebrow. “Only if you promise not to kill them.”
For a moment, there was silence — and then, surprisingly, a weak chuckle escaped from Dune. “I’m their grandfather… I think I can manage that.”
Kairo nodded. “They have both Aqua and Sand elemental powers.”
Another wave of shock rippled through the crowd. The idea of two children wielding the combined might of water and sand — a rare and powerful mix — sent a quiet murmur through the Sand tribe.
The once-unwanted daughter of their leader had not only unlocked unimaginable power… but had given birth to children who could one day surpass even their strongest warriors.
Dune, still processing everything, finally spoke, his voice carrying across the battlefield:
“Yuki… is my daughter.”
The murmurs grew louder.
Though the news had already begun spreading like wildfire, hearing it directly from Dune — the most powerful leader of the Sand tribe — made it official.
For the first time in years, Yuki was no longer seen as undesirable.
She was seen as the daughter of their leader — a powerful force in her own right and the mother of the next generation of elemental warriors.
As the crowd slowly accepted this reality, Kairo’s grip on Yuki tightened, his heart still racing from everything that had happened.
No matter how much had changed — one thing remained the same:
He would protect Yuki.
He would protect their children.
