Hello everyone! I'm Sun The Pun - and no, I have absolutely nothing to do with "puns"... I just create stories for fun 😄 You heard me right: I write because I love it.
From 2025, I started my writing journey on Wattpad, and so far, I've completed four full stories. My stories are generally a blend of anime and tokusatsu. You may ask how but there is a little backstory behind it.
I'm just a regular guy-but with a deep love for Tokusatsu and Anime. My journey started from Super Sentai when I got hooked on the very first series, Goranger, and from there, I binged my way through every installment up until KingOhger. I was obsessed. I wanted to watch every single series, and I actually did it.
Then came Kamen Rider-a darker, more mature counterpart to Super Sentai. Once again, I was drawn in. I binged every season, immersing myself in the Tokusatsu universe. But watching these shows wasn't just entertainment for me-it became a springboard for my imagination.
As I spent hours absorbed in this world, I started crafting one of my own. I built an entire imaginary universe, with original characters and storylines. Whenever I was bored, I'd mentally create full episodes of my own series.
I could sit still for hours, lost in thought. In fact, I mentally drafted an entire 20-episode of my own Tokusatsu-inspired story. Sounds strange, maybe-but it was real to me.
But again I later on started getting visions of future events, how can I shape them, etc. It slowly started coming so frequently in my memory that I wasn't able to progress further.
I even got visions of the later installments which was great imagining but was contributing nothing to my progress. So, I decided to give up imagining them as it seemed like a time waste when it was just in my head.
Then, after I had finished all the Kamen Rider series, a friend recommended that I try watching a specific anime.
At first, I was skeptical. I thought, "Anime? Cartoons? After watching all that epic Tokusatsu action?" Still, I decided to give it a shot-and to my surprise,
I liked it. A lot. So much so that I ended up binge-watching all the seasons.
That was the beginning of a new addiction.
From there, I started exploring more anime like Naruto, Death Note, and others. Each one pulled me deeper in. But something interesting happened during this time-my mind began to mature.
The way I thought about stories, characters, and themes started to evolve as a result of all the binge-watching. And in the middle of this transformation, I started revisiting those old imaginative ideas I had once set aside.
The visions never really stopped-they kept popping up now and then-but this time, I began to think differently.
What if I didn't limit this universe to just Tokusatsu? What if I merged it with anime elements and turned it into a proper story-something I could write down and develop? That spark of an idea lit something in me again.
I did exactly that. Tried to develop story scripts of those imaginations using Chatgpt.
Using it felt like brainstorming with a writing buddy who never runs out of steam.
It didn't write my stories for me - the ideas were all mine - but it helped me refine the structure, polish the dialogue, and push my imagination even further.
With each script, I started to feel more confident in my voice as a storyteller.
Then later on, I discovered Wattpad and found out that stories can be published here.
So I started converting my story scripts into full-length narratives, adding character depth, pacing, and emotional beats. Wattpad became the launchpad where my original concepts could finally breathe - and people could read them.
It's been almost three months since I published my stories on Wattpad. And well… 😅 let's just say they haven't exactly gone viral. And it has even got 3 installments in total.
Yeah, I did manage to do that all as I already had all the scripts prepared previously. But doesn't matter as long as the story lives. That's enough for me.
Atleast I know that there is now an anime-tokusatsu blended story series available on Wattpad. I named it Celestic Warriors.
Though coming up with a name for the first installment wasn't easy.
I wrestled with different titles for a while, trying to find something that truly captured the beginning of this new universe. Eventually, I settled on something simple but meaningful: Celestic Warriors:The Origins. It felt right. It marked the foundation of the Celestic Warriors series.
If any of this caught your interest, this is the beginning of my first story -
a blend of anime energy and Tokusatsu heart.
It's available on Amazon if you want to take a peek.
Thanks for reading.
