Two days passed.
Far from Raven's reach, in the depths of a mysterious, gloomy planet...
A stranger walked through the misty landscape, their cloak fluttering in the cold wind.
Then-
They stopped.
Lying unconscious, her body battered and broken, was Angeleva.
Her pink dress was torn, her wings barely flickered with light.
The stranger knelt beside her.
With a soft touch and use of some herbs and potions, a glow of mysterious energy surrounded Angeleva's body.
The wounds slowly began to close.
Stranger: "She's still alive... barely."
The stranger carefully lifted her up and carried her toward a distant house hidden within the planet's rocky terrain.
Elsewhere on the same planet...
Another figure was moving through the dark terrain.
He stopped when he noticed something-
A battered body lying in the dirt.
Sap-green suit... two horns...
It was Safari.
His breathing was weak but steady.
The figure sighed.
Unknown Rescuer: "You're lucky... but you look like you've been through hell."
Just like Angeleva, Safari was carried but in a trailer and taken into the depths of a hidden dwelling.
Hours passed.
Inside a dimly lit house, Safari's fingers twitched.
His eyes slowly opened.
His vision was blurry, but he could see a figure standing nearby.
Then-
Memories flooded his mind.
The spaceship.
The explosion.
Jumping at the last second.
Barely escaping-
Pain.
Safari: "Tch... That damn Explosion..."
He pushed himself up, groaning in pain.
Unknown Rescuer: "You're awake."
Safari's eyes narrowed.
Safari: "...Who are you?"
The figure didn't answer immediately, instead placing a bowl of strange glowing liquid beside him.
Unknown Rescuer: "Drink this. It will speed up your recovery."
Safari hesitated, but his instincts told him he had no choice.
He grabbed the bowl and gulped it down.
A warm sensation spread through his body, numbing the pain.
His injuries began healing faster.
Safari: "...Tch. Fine, thanks."
But he wasn't the only one waking up.
On the other side of the planet...
Angeleva's eyes fluttered open.
A warm glow surrounded her.
She winced in pain, slowly sitting up.
Memories flashed through her mind.
Raven's blast.
Turning invisible.
Barely escaping.
Then-Darkness.
She gasped.
Angeleva: "I... I survived?"
Stranger: "Yes, but just barely."
Angeleva turned her head, spotting the hooded figure who had saved her.
She could sense something different about them.
Angeleva: "You... who are you?"
The figure simply smiled.
Stranger: "A friend. Rest for now."
Angeleva felt weak, but relieved.
She had escaped death.
But what now?
On opposite sides of the same planet, the two warriors recovered slowly.
After 10 minutes...
Angeleva sat up slowly, wincing from the lingering pain.
The stranger, now revealed as a villager, handed her a small bowl filled with a glowing liquid.
Angeleva: "You... healed me?"
The villager nodded.
Villager: "Yes. Our clan specializes in healing. We couldn't let you die after what you've been through."
Angeleva took a sip and felt a warm energy surge through her body, soothing her wounds.
She looked around, realizing she was in a small village with a few other villagers watching from a distance.
Angeleva: "Where am I?"
Villager: "This is Planet Dusk. A place we were forced to settle after our homeworld was destroyed by Demon General Break."
Angeleva's eyes narrowed.
Angeleva(guessing): "Break...?"
" One of Demon King Raven's lackeys." one of the villagers muttered nervously from afar, lowering their gaze.
Villager: "Yes. He wiped out our planet and brought us here to serve as healers for Raven's forces. We are only kept alive because of our abilities."
Angeleva clenched her fists.
Her mind drifted back to Safari.
Was he here too?
Was he even alive?Meanwhile, on the other side of Planet Dusk, Safari sat against the wall, arms crossed, listening to the villager's explanation.
Among the explanation, they also revealed to him that Angeleva was also healing on the other part of the village according to the updates they received from their side(via leaf-letters). They then explained the main situation.
Safari: "So let me get this straight... You guys heal people, but instead of helping the weak, you're being forced to serve Raven's scum?"
The villager nodded hesitantly.
Safari scoffed.
Safari: "Tch. Sounds like a nightmare. But why are you telling me all this?"
The villager took a deep breath.
Villager: "Because we need your help."
Safari raised an eyebrow.
Safari: "Help?"
The villager's hands trembled.
Villager: "We heard from some of our people who were in Planet Satan that you and the fairy girl defeated General Rebel. If that's true... then maybe you're strong enough to defeat General Break."
Safari leaned forward, his eyes narrowing.
Safari: "And if we refuse?"
The villager's face turned pale, but they didn't back down.
Villager: "Then we will remain slaves, healing the very demons who took everything from us."
Safari looked away, deep in thought.
On both sides of the planet, Angeleva and Safari were given the same request.
To defeat Demon General Break.
To free the people of Planet Dusk.
On the other side...
Angeleva leaned back, sighing.
Angeleva: "Tch. I hate getting involved in someone else's problems..."
Safari smirked.
Safari: "But a fight does sound fun."
Both warriors knew-
This wasn't their fight.
But something about it felt right.
_ _ _
Safari crossed his arms, fully healed, as the villagers nervously pointed at Break's forretress which was in view range from the village itself.
It was miles away but the tall structure could be seen
Safari had agreed to defeat Break as it sounded fun.
Villager: "Well... Break stays in that forretress."
Safari's eyes twitched.
Safari:(impatiently): "Escort me to that place."
The villagers nodded in fear though some of them hesitated.
Villager: "But you could just follow the direction to get there."
Safari exhaled sharply.
Safari: "Tch. Whatever. Just escort me so that I can atleast make sure you are not kidding. Because if you are, I have to kill you all for wasting my energy and excitement."
The villagers were even more terrified hearing that so they decided to escort him to the Forretress, feeling threatened.
After reaching the fortress...
Safari stood, observing the surroundings, convinced they were not lying.
He then turned toward the distant dark fortress, a towering structure of jagged black stone looming in front of him.
Safari: "I'll take care of that bastard myself. Keep the fairy out of this."
The villagers looked at each other, hesitating.
Villager: "But two warriors are better than one..."
Safari's glare silenced them.
Safari: "I don't need anyone stealing my prey."
The villagers gulped.
Still, one of them gathered the courage to protest.
Villager: "But she's strong! Together, you could-"
Safari grabbed the villager by the collar, lifting him effortlessly.
His voice was cold.
Safari: "If you call her, I'll slaughter every last one of you. Got it?"
The villagers froze in fear.
Safari dropped the villager, who fell to the ground coughing.
Safari: "Good."
He turned and began his march toward Break's fortress.
_ _ _
Meanwhile, Angeleva was stretching, feeling much better after her healing.
Safari's message was already passed to every villager so they all knew what to do.
By the way, she already knew Safari was being treated separately in another part of the village.
Guessing Safari may try to steal the prey, she instinctively reacted fast:-
Angeleva: "Alright, let's go take down this General Break guy!"
The villagers in her side panicked.
Villager: "N-No! You don't need to! It's too dangerous!"
Angeleva raised an eyebrow.
Angeleva: "Huh? Didn't you just say you needed help?"
The villagers struggled to come up with an excuse.
Villager: "Uhh... You're still injured! You should rest!"
Angeleva smirked, spinning midair to show her agility.
Angeleva: "See? Perfectly fine."
The villagers gulped.
Angeleva folded her arms, her expression growing serious.
Angeleva: "I don't know what's going on, but if you think I'll just sit here while innocent people suffer, you don't know me."
She prepared to take off, but one villager quickly held her back.
Villager: "Wait! At least eat before you go!"
Angeleva blinked.
Angeleva: "Oh? Food? Well... I guess I can stay a little longer..."
The villagers sighed in relief, stalling her as long as they could.
