Chapter 100: Race Through Darkness

The room was heavy with silence, the family frozen in shock. Zack's hands trembled as tears welled up in his eyes. Jen's expression twisted in horror, her voice barely a whisper. "He took her..."

Ian, though visibly shaken, turned to Safari. "He... he mentioned no one has ever...?"

"But we will," Safari growled, his determination unyielding. "I'll get her back."

As if to solidify his resolve, Safari spun around, his eyes burning with purpose. "Where did he take her?"

"He said Hellsgate just before dragging big sis." Olive answered, her voice low. "That's the demon planet. According to the rumours, it is the very heart of Raven's territory."

Safari's gaze darkened. "I don't care. I'm going after him." Without waiting, he sprinted to the spaceship's control panel. The console flickered to life as he seized the controls, his hands moving with desperate precision.

"Big bro!" Olive called out. "You can't just-"

"I have to!" he interrupted, his voice fierce. "Angeleva won't last long. She's not like me. The atmosphere in Hellsgate is filled with negative energy, I can feel it. It'll weaken her until she..." His voice cracked, but he shook it off, focusing forward. "She won't make it. I have to save her."

Olive hesitated, then silently stepped aside. She knew reasoning with him now was futile. Zack and Jen exchanged a worried glance, but neither objected. They could see the anguish in Safari's eyes.

The engines roared as Safari launched the ship forward, pushing its speed to the limit. The ship's thrusters burned brighter, trembling under the intensity of his resolve.

"Hold on, Angeleva," Safari whispered, his heart pounding. "I'm coming."

It took him nearly half a day to reach Hellsgate. Safari gripped the spaceship's controls, his knuckles turning white.

His heart pounded violently in his chest.

Angeleva was gone.
Zozo had taken her.
And Hellsgate was her prison.

He could still see her face - her terrified expression as she was dragged into the darkness.

The thought made his blood boil.

"Faster... I need to go faster!" Safari growled, pushing the thrusters to their limit.

The spaceship roared as it blasted through space toward the coordinates Zozo had left behind. The stars blurred as the ship's engines burned, the force pressing the passengers into their seats.

The family watched Safari in silence.

Even Ian, who always had something to say, remained still - his usual playfulness completely gone.

Zack sat in the corner, gripping his hands together, muttering to himself, "Big sis, please hold on..."

Olive and Jen exchanged nervous glances, both of them feeling completely powerless.

They knew.

They all knew.

Safari wasn't just angry.
He was terrified.

And for the first time in their lives - Safari's desperation scared them.

After what felt like an eternity -

The planet Hellsgate came into view.

It was a massive, dark planet, surrounded by crimson storm clouds that crackled with unnatural lightning.

Black spires jutted out of its surface like the teeth of a beast, and glowing rivers of magma coursed through the landscape.

The entire planet radiated pure malice.

Safari could feel it.

The moment they got close, he instinctively gritted his teeth as an oppressive force weighed down on him.

The aura of the planet was thick with demonic energy.

A normal fairy wouldn't last a few hours here due to excessive negative energy.

The weight of Hellsgate's atmosphere gnawed at him, stirring the devil within him. His demonic side recognized the foul energy, tempting him to give in to its corruption.

But he clenched his fists, his willpower far stronger.

Angeleva...

She doesn't belong in a place like this.

I have to hurry.

_ _ _

As soon as the spaceship touched the ground, Safari leapt out immediately. The red, cracked earth beneath him sizzled with heat, and thick black smoke curled through the air.

But the moment his feet hit the soil -

A sudden pulse of dark energy erupted from the ground.

BOOM!

The air trembled.

Dark fissures split the scorched earth, and from within them, an army of grotesque demons emerged.

They twisted and writhed, their bodies malformed and corrupted. Some crawled on multiple limbs, while others stood tall with jagged horns and fanged grins. Their glowing red eyes locked onto Safari and his family.

The air was filled with bloodthirsty roars.

Olive clenched her fists. "Tch, of course there's an army waiting for us."

Ian, his hands trembling slightly, pulled out his camera, the lens gleaming. "Documenting Hellsgate. Safari big bro versus the Demon Horde - epic footage incoming." He tried to sound casual, but the grimness in his voice betrayed his unease.

Zack, despite his worry, took a deep breath and nodded. His small hands ignited with a faint healing light, ready to assist. "Let's clear the way."

But Safari wasn't in the mood for words.

His eyes were locked on the massive fortress ahead - a nightmarish structure of jagged obsidian, surrounded by flowing rivers of magma. Towering demonic statues loomed around it, their hollow eyes glowing like embers.

It was the place Zozo had taken Angeleva.

There was no time to waste.

Safari's devil aura flared, crackling like black flames around him. His eyes burned with crimson determination.

"OUT OF MY WAY!!"

With a primal roar, Safari charged straight into the demon horde, transforming.

The demons screeched as they lunged toward Safari. Clawed limbs slashed through the air, and twisted jaws snapped hungrily.

But Safari was a storm of destruction.

His fist collided with the first demon, sending it flying backward into a cluster of its kin. The shockwave from his punch shattered the cracked earth beneath them.

Another demon tried to ambush him from behind, but Safari spun, his knee slamming into its chest. The force crushed its ribcage, sending it crumpling to the ground.

More demons swarmed him, but Safari roared, his devil aura expanding. With a swing of his hammer, a wave of sap green energy blasted them away.

"Don't underestimate me!" he growled.

Olive joined the fray, her blaster glowing blue as she struck down enemies with precise, calculated shots. Each blast reverberated like a shockwave, disorienting the demons.

Jen, despite her usual cheerful demeanor, wielded a pair of sharpened kitchen blades for self defense and carrying some crackers in her bag for supporting Zack.

Zack kept his distance, focusing on healing any injuries the others sustained. His healing powers shone brightly, standing out against the twisted darkness of Hellsgate.

And Ian -

He grinned behind his camera, expertly maneuvering through the chaos, capturing every moment. His lens flickered as it recorded the raw, unfiltered battle.

"This is insane," Ian muttered. "Safari big bro's rage... it's like nothing I've ever seen."

But Safari didn't care about the spectacle.

He could see the fortress in the distance, its looming presence taunting him. Every roar of the demons, every pulse of dark energy - it only made him push harder.
