Chapter 146: Heartbroken Devil vs. The Orb Warriors

Safari was drowning in his own dark thoughts when two ships appeared on the horizon. Their metallic frames glinted in the faint light filtering through the trees, descending rapidly from opposite directions.

The first ship opened in mid-air. A hulking, monstrous figure dove out, its twisted form crashing at Safari’s feet. The creature gasped, clutching its chest.
“Help! Please—help me!” it wheezed, voice trembling with terror. “Two dangerous brats are chasing me!”

Before Safari could react, instinct kicked in. He stepped forward, dragging the creature behind him and raising his arm as a shield.

The second ship landed with a sharp hiss. The ramp lowered, revealing two figures stepping onto the forest floor with confidence.

One wore flowing robes inscribed with arcane symbols, a glowing wand pulsing in his grip—the Blue Magician Warrior.

The other was clad in a yellow chef suit, yet radiating power—the Yellow Chef Warrior.

Safari’s pulse quickened. He rose to his feet, still shielding the creature. “Who are you—and why are you after him?”

They exchanged a glance before replying in unison.
“You’re a devil. That makes you his ally.”

The words hung heavy. The forest went still, save for the faint hum of their ship. The monster behind Safari trembled with relief, gripping his arm.

The Magician’s eyes glittered with purpose as he tapped his wand against the ground, magic swirling. The Chef cracked her knuckles, smirking like she was already bored.

Safari narrowed his eyes, his grip tightening on the Devil Hammer. Their aura was strange—not like Gregory or Patricia’s Celestic energy, but disciplined, refined… unnervingly familiar.

The Magician’s voice carried authority. “Step aside. That creature is a criminal. We’ve chased him across multiple planets. Don’t interfere.”

The Chef leaned forward, her smirk sharpening. “Unless, of course, you want to take a beating for a monster. Fine by me—I need a warm-up.”

Safari clenched his jaw. “I don’t care who you are. This thing came to me for help. If you want him, tell me why.”

The creature shrieked desperately. “They’re lying! I didn’t do anything! They just want me gone!”

The Chef snorted. “Oh, please. You ‘accidentally’ destroyed three cities and ‘accidentally’ unleashed a swarm of shadow beasts? Try harder.”

The Magician’s tone hardened. “Enough. Step aside—or we’ll take you down with him.”

Safari growled, suspicion gnawing at him. He didn’t trust the monster, but he trusted these strangers even less.

Mike raised his wand. Blue energy rippled outward in a circle. Heidi drew her forks, heat flaring around her fists.

Safari cracked his neck, spinning the Devil Hammer. His green aura burst to life, flaring like wildfire.
“If you want him…” he snarled, “…you’ll go through me.”

The Chef grinned wide. “Good. I was hoping you’d say that.”

They lunged. The forest exploded into chaos.

Safari roared, transforming into his Sap-Green Warrior form. His hammer struck the ground with a crushing force, sending tremors through the trees.

The Magician’s eyes widened. “A Celestic Warrior…? But not on our side.”

The Chef twirled her forks, flames sparking. “Shame. You actually look kinda hot in green. Guess I’ll just break you instead.”

The Magician slammed his wand into the soil. “Nature Bind!”

Glowing vines surged upward, coiling around Safari’s limbs like steel chains. They constricted hard, threatening to crush him.

“Blazing Fork Strike!” The Chef shouted, spinning mid-air. Her flaming forks came crashing down—

BOOM!

The ground erupted. Trees snapped. Smoke and embers clouded the battlefield. She landed gracefully, dusting her hands. “Done already?”

But as the smoke cleared—

Safari still stood.

The vines hung shredded at his feet. His aura blazed brighter than before. His armor was cracked, blood dripping—but he refused to fall.

“That all you’ve got?” he growled.

The Magician staggered back. “He… survived?”

The Chef whistled. “Hah. Tougher than I thought.”

Safari’s roar split the air as he charged, hammer glowing. He swung with monstrous force.

BOOM!

The Chef dodged, but the shockwave hurled her into a tree. She slid to the ground, coughing.

The Magician retaliated. “Nature’s Wrath!”

A massive root tore from the earth, lunging to impale Safari. But Safari spun his hammer, smashing it to splinters.

They froze, exchanging tense glances.

“This guy’s no joke,” the Magician muttered.

The Chef cracked her neck, grinning. “Finally. Someone worth hitting.”

They braced to unleash their full strength—

“HAHAHA, SUCKERS!”

The “helpless” monster bolted from behind Safari, sprinting into the forest.

The Magician’s jaw dropped. “You’ve GOT to be kidding me!”

“Ugh!” the Chef groaned. “We fell for that?!”

Safari leaned on his hammer with a smirk. “Guess you were too busy fighting the wrong devil.”

The Magician clenched his teeth. “This isn’t over.”

“Tch. Lost him,” the Chef growled.

They de-transformed revealing themselves to be pretty young.

The Magician sighed, adjusting his hat. “We’ll keep looking.”

Safari collapsed against a tree, breathing hard. His voice was flat, tired not even noticing their features. “Do whatever you want. I’m done.”

The Chef tilted her head, eyeing him curiously. “No offense, but you look like a heartbroken devil right now.”

Safari’s eye twitched. “…Shut up. Get lost before I kill you.”

“Touchy.” the Chef smirked.

The Magician studied him carefully, chin resting on his hand. “Strange… doesn’t look like a bad guy to me.”

Safari glared, silent.

The Magician shrugged. “Whatever. We’ll see you again, heartbroken devil.”

The two turned and left.

Not far away, their voices carried through the woods.

“This is your fault!” the Chef barked.

“My fault?!” the Magician snapped. “You were too busy showing off!”

“Excuse me? I was fighting while you waved your silly wand!”

“They’re advanced spells!”

Their bickering escalated quickly—loud enough for others to hear.

Zack perked up. “Who’s fighting?”

Patrick smirked. “Sounds like a lover’s quarrel.”

Ian’s eyes lit up. “A lover’s quarrel?! Gold! I need to document this!”

Before anyone could stop him, Ian dashed out, camera flashing—

Click!

The Chef instantly turned, fist flashing. One punch sent Ian’s precious camera flying.

CRASH!

“NOOO! My documentary footage!” Ian wailed, dropping to his knees in horror.

The family ducked into the bushes, peeking out wide-eyed at the furious pair.

Then—

Patrick squinted at the Chef. His eyes widened. “Wait… Heidi?!”

Grace gasped looking at the Magician. “Mike?!”

Angeleva stepped forward, recognition dawning. “I remember them… I once helped them in the Fairy Universe.”

Mike and Heidi froze mid-argument, turning toward the group in shock.
