Mike and Heidi turned their attention to Angeleva, and their expressions immediately changed.
"Wait a secondâyou're that fairy warrior from the Fairy Universe!" Mike exclaimed, eyes widening.
Heidi snapped her fingers. "Yeah! You once helped us out against the Vampire Family!"
Angeleva nodded, a small smile forming. "I didn't expect to see you two here."
Grace and Patrick, however, were still frozen, their eyes locked onto Mike and Heidi in disbelief.
Grace's voice trembled. "Mike...? You're alive?"
Patrick clenched his fists, his breath shaky. "Heidi...? Is this really you?"
Mike adjusted his hat, slightly puzzled. "Of course, I'm alive. Why wouldn't I be?"
Heidi crossed her arms. "Same here. Did you think I was dead or something?"
Grace swallowed hard. "I last saw you... three years ago after I left Mystra for the war."
Mike's confident smirk faltered, his expression becoming serious. "...I see. It's been three years for you."
He then softened his gaze. "Grace... what happened to you after that?"
Meanwhile, Heidi took a step forward, narrowing her eyes at Patrick. "And youâwhat happened to you five years ago? You were supposed toâ"
She stopped herself, biting her lip. The memories of their last meeting came flooding back.
Patrick took a deep breath. "I... I was captured. Everything fell apart."
Heidi's eyes widened, and for the first time, her usual fiery attitude dimmed. "...Captured?"
The rest of the groupâincluding Zack, Jen, Ian, Olive, and the freed prisonersâwatched silently, feeling the weight of the unexpected reunion unfolding before them.
Patrick took a deep breath, his expression darkening. "Five years ago, I was hired as a cook for a war against Raven. At first, I thought it would be simpleâjust providing food for the resistance. But I was wrong."
He clenched his fists. "It wasn't just a war... it was a massacre."
Heidi and Mike remained silent, listening intently.
"Most of our forces were wiped out. Only a few of us survived, and we were captured. Raven's army took us as prisoners. They tortured us, broke us, and used us as entertainment. I spent years rotting in that dungeon..."
He looked down, his voice shaking. "Then, a year ago, I heard something..."
He slowly lifted his gaze, meeting Heidi's eyes. "They said Yumeria was destroyed."
Heidi's breath hitched.
"They said demons calling themselves the Vampire Family wiped it out."
Heidi asked. "How do you know that?"
Patrick took a deep breath. "Yeah... I was in Raven's prison when I heard about it."
Heidi said. "I saw the entire destruction of the planet but somehow I survived."
Patrick's eyes widened. "What?"
She shook her head. "I don't know how. When the attack happened, I should have died with the others. But... I found a Yellow Orb moments before the destruction which probably saved me. It was the reason I am still alive, but the planet was gone."
Patrick was stunned. "So... you're saying the Yellow Orb saved you?"
Heidi nodded slowly. "I don't know why. I should have perished with Yumeria, but instead, I became the Yellow Chef Warrior."
There was a long, heavy silence.
Patrick's hands trembled. "So... all this time, I thought I was the last one left. But you were out there, too."
Heidi looked away. "And I thought I was the only survivor."
Patrick clenched his fists. "We lost everything."
Heidi gritted her teeth. "Yeah... but we're still standing. And now that I know the truthâI won't let Yumeria be forgotten."
Patrick nodded. Heidi was still Heidi. Even after everything, she still had that unyielding fire.
Meanwhile, Grace was staring at Mike, realizing he hadn't spoken yet.
"...Mike?" she asked hesitantly. "What happened to you three years ago?"
Mike looked at her, his usual cold expression masking something deeper. "You... really want to know?"
Grace nodded, swallowing hard.
Mike sighed. "Alright then. I'll tell you everything."
Mike crossed his arms, his expression turning serious. "Mystra is gone."
Grace's eyes widened. "...Well. I know that."
Mike continued, his voice calm but heavy with meaning. "Just a year ago, my planetâour planetâwas destroyed."
Mike's eyes darkened as he clenched his fists. "I should've died that day. But a blue orb saved me."
Grace asked. "What's that?"
Mike explained. " I found it on Mystra almost a few moments before it's destruction. I didn't know what it was at first... but when the Vampire Family attacked, it protected me and saved my life."
He sighed. "I later became the Blue Magician Warrior with the power of the orb."
Grace still couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"You... survived?" she whispered.
Mike nodded, then turned to Patrick and Heidi. "And I wasn't the only one. Heidi also survived Yumeria's destruction, just like I survived Mystra's."
Heidi smirked. "And together, we took revenge."
Grace looked between them, confused. "Revenge? What do you mean?"
Mike's expression sharpened.
"Heidi and I took down the entire Vampire Family. Every last one of them. We destroyed them all in the Fairy Universe."
Grace gasped. Patrick's eyes widened.
Patrick turned to Heidi. "Is that true?"
Heidi grinned, a dangerous glint in her eye. "Damn right it is. We wiped those bloodsuckers off the map."
Patrick was stunned. The monsters that had annihilated Yumeria and Mystra... were gone?
Grace, still overwhelmed, took a deep breath. "That means... the ones who killed our people are finally gone..."
Mike looked at her. "Yeah. We made sure of it."
There was a long silence.
Then, Patrick laughed softly.
"I can't believe it. You two really did it."
Heidi smirked, crossing her arms. "Of course we did. No one messes with us and gets away with it."
Mike then turned back to Grace. "But... what happened to you?"
Grace looked down, gathering her thoughts.
"Three years ago, I joined a war against Raven."
Mike's eyes narrowed. "You fought against Raven?"
She nodded. "Yeah. I assisted in battle... but it was hopeless."
Her hands trembled. "He crushed us. Completely."
Heidi and Mike listened in silence.
"Most of our forces were annihilated. Only a few of us survived... and we were taken as prisoners."
Grace clutched her arms. "I spent 3 years locked up. Tortured. Forgotten."
Her voice grew quieter. "Then, about a year ago, I heard a rumor from Raven..."
She looked up at Mike, her expression filled with pain.
"I heard that Mystra was destroyed."
Mike clenched his fists. "...And you thought I was dead ."
Grace nodded slowly. "I thought... I had lost everything but it seems you were alive."
A heavy silence settled over them.
Patrick, processing everything, exhaled. "Damn. We really have been through hell."
Heidi, for once, didn't argue. She just nodded.
Mike looked at Grace. "But you survived. Just like me. Just like Heidi. We're still standing."
Grace stared at him for a moment, then softly smiled.
"Yeah. We are."
The group remained silent, absorbing the weight of their reunion.
They were all survivors of destroyed worlds.
And now, they had found each other again.
Ian, with his usual mischievous grin, crossed his arms. "Oh yeah, Mike, you should've seen Grace back there. She wouldn't stop clinging to me."
Grace's face turned bright red. "I-Ian! Why would you bring that up now?!"
Heidi smirked. "Wait, wait. This sounds interesting. So, if she was all over you, that means..." She narrowed her eyes. "You were her first kiss, huh?"
Ian shook his head, laughing. "Nope. Not me."
Mike raised an eyebrow. "Then who?"
Ian, without hesitation, dramatically pointed at Patrick.
Everyone turned to look at Patrick, who froze mid-step.
"...Eh?"
Patrick, realizing all eyes were on him, started sweating. "Uh, um... I-I mean, it was an accident! Totally an accident!"
Grace covered her face with her hands, mumbling. "I can't believe this is happening."
Mike and Heidi slowly turned to each other.
Mike squinted. "Hey... wasn't Patrick from your planet?"
Heidi nodded, equally suspicious. "Yeah... and Grace was from yours, right?"
Mike narrowed his eyes. "Uh-huh..."
They both stared at Patrick and Grace, then back at each other.
Heidi muttered, "No way."
Mike sighed. "There's no way it's that much of a coincidence."
A Yumerian from Heidi's planet. A Mystran from Mike's planet.
Just like they were a Yumerian and a Mystran.
And those two had their own accidental first kissâjust like they had back then.
Mike and Heidi both took a step back, their minds spiraling in confusion.
"...No way." They both muttered at the same time.
Safari's family watched them silently, not sure why the two suddenly looked like they'd seen a ghost.
