Chapter 153: A Wedding Before the War

Safari and Angeleva sat together, genuinely enjoying the open conversation with everyone. For the first time, they felt completely free—no burdens, no unspoken feelings—just the warmth of their family.

Then, Ian ruined it.

"So, when's the wedding?" he asked casually, camera in hand.

Safari and Angeleva froze.

"WHAT?!" they both yelled in unison.

"You just confessed, right?" Ian grinned. "Time to seal the deal!"

Safari rubbed his temples. "Ian. We literally just admitted our feelings."

Angeleva nodded rapidly. "It's too early!"

But Zack, Jen, and Olive weren't having it.

"Too early?" Olive raised an eyebrow. "Big bro, you're 24. Big sis, you're 22. You're both adults."

"Yeah," Zack added. "And honestly, you've been in love for longer than you think."

Safari and Angeleva blinked in confusion.

"How would you know that?" Angeleva asked suspiciously.

Jen smiled mischievously. "Because God Legend read your minds pretty early on."

Safari and Angeleva whipped around to look at Legend.

Legend shrugged. "What? It was obvious."

Before they could even argue, Legend clapped his hands, summoning celestial energy.

"WELL THEN! If marriage is the next step, I shall make it GRAND!"

In an instant, the castle transformed.

Golden banners lined the halls, featuring intricate designs of fairies and devils standing together.

The entire hall was decorated in an extravagant "Legendary" manner, with a mix of heavenly and demonic energy.

A massive wedding altar stood in the center, glowing with divine light.

Music started playing from nowhere.

Safari and Angeleva stared in absolute horror.

Meanwhile, the prisoners and the rest of the group were already forming a crowd, excitedly murmuring about the upcoming wedding.

"This is happening!" Ian cheered, snapping photos of the setup.

Angeleva snapped.

"GOD LEGEND!" she shouted, flaring her wings angrily. "Just because we confessed doesn't mean we have to get married IMMEDIATELY!"

Safari, still unsure what to feel, just scratched the back of his head. "I mean... I don't know if it's right or not..."

Angeleva turned to glare at him. "Safari! You too?!"

Legend stroked his beard. "Hmm... You both clearly want it but are overwhelmed. I see, I see..."

Safari and Angeleva jumped.

"WE NEVER SAID WE WANTED IT!"

Legend chuckled knowingly.

"Ah, but deep down... you do."

Safari and Angeleva felt a chill down their spines.

Legend stood silently, taking the full force of Safari and Angeleva's combined scolding.

"You can't just DECIDE things for us!" Angeleva huffed, arms crossed.

"Yeah, you're supposed to be a wise God, not a wedding planner!" Safari added.

The rest of the group watched in awe.

"Are we sure he's actually a God?" Zack whispered to Jen.

"Right?" Jen giggled. "He's getting scolded like a kid!"

"Who's in charge here, really?" Rojo snickered.

Legend sighed, rubbing his temples. "Fine, fine... No wedding. For now."

An hour passed.

Safari and Angeleva stood alone, side by side, away from the others.

They had finally escaped the overwhelming pressure of their allies and a very meddlesome god.

But now, with the silence settling between them... they both hesitated.

Then, at the exact same time—

"It wouldn't have been too bad if we got married right away..."

Silence.

They froze, realizing what they had just said. To each other.

Angeleva turned slightly, watching Safari's expression carefully.

"Did you... really mean that?" she asked.

Safari cleared his throat, scratching his head. "I mean... kinda? It's not like I'd be against it, but..."

Angeleva smiled softly. "Actually, I don't really mind either."

Safari blinked, looking at her.

"Wait, seriously?"

"Yeah." She shrugged. "It just feels... weird to do it so suddenly."

Safari chuckled. "Right? One day we're fighting Raven, the next day—boom—wedding decorations."

Angeleva giggled.

They stood there for a moment, comfortably lost in each other's presence.

But unknown to them—

Ian was hiding behind a pillar, sneakily recording the entire conversation.

"Oh-ho-ho, this is GOLD." He whispered to himself, grinning.

Little did Safari and Angeleva know—their 'secret' confession wasn't so secret after all.

Ian grinned mischievously, clutching his camera.

"This is going to be the best documentary moment of all time!" he whispered excitedly to himself.

But just as he was about to sneak away—

A shadow loomed over him.

"Ian."

Ian froze.

Slowly, he turned his head to see Olive standing behind him, arms crossed, blaster in hand.

"What are you doing?" she asked suspiciously.

Ian laughed nervously. "Oh, you know... just admiring the architecture...!"

Olive narrowed her eyes, then suddenly snatched the camera from him.

"Hey! Give that back!" Ian protested, trying to grab it.

But Olive quickly scrolled through the footage—and her eyes widened.

"You actually recorded their private conversation?! You idiot, they'll kill you!"

Ian grinned proudly. "No, no, Olive, you don't get it—this is a historical moment! A devil and a fairy admitting they wouldn't mind getting married? The whole universe needs to see this!"

Olive groaned. "You are the worst."

Before Ian could argue, she quickly deleted the footage.

"WHA—OLIVE!" Ian practically screamed.

Olive tossed the camera back at him. "You're lucky I'm merciful."

Ian fell to his knees dramatically. "My masterpiece... gone... just like that..."

"Oh, shut up," Olive said, grabbing him by the collar and dragging him away before Safari or Angeleva noticed.

Meanwhile...

Safari and Angeleva continued their conversation, completely unaware of Ian's failed attempt to document history. "So... we're really saying we wouldn't mind getting married?" Safari asked, a little amused. Angeleva blushed slightly but nodded. "I mean, eventually. Not immediately. But... yeah." Safari smirked. "Well, that's good to know. At least now we're on the same page." Angeleva rolled her eyes playfully. "You make it sound like a battle strategy." Safari grinned. "Hey, if we're gonna do this, I gotta prove I can win at marriage too." Angeleva laughed, shaking her head. _ _ _ After a few minutes, Safari and Angeleva were called by Legend for something urgent. Safari, Angeleva, Ian, Olive, Zack, Jen, Patrick, Grace, and the freed prisoners gathered around Legend as showed something in his God Sphere. Legend's expression was serious. The warmth from before was gone. "It's no time for relaxation," he said, his voice echoing with divine authority. "There is something you all need to see." The sphere revealed a swirling mass of images, colors, and chaotic energy. Everyone leaned in, their expressions turning tense. What they saw inside made their blood run cold. Safari's eyes narrowed, his grip tightening on his Devil Hammer. Angeleva clenched her fists, her wings twitching in unease. Ian, for once, had nothing to say, his camera forgotten at his side. Zack, Jen, Olive, Patrick, and Grace all shared anxious glances, feeling a deep sense of foreboding.
