Chapter 162: Celestic Lovers at War

Back in Hellsgate, the atmosphere turned razor-sharp.

Legend’s voice trembled, though he tried to steady it.
“Brace yourselves… Safari, Angeleva—you’ve rattled them. But now… they’ll reveal their true darkness.”

Gregory’s smirk spread like a shadow across his face as his fingers traced the handle of his mace.
Patricia leaned against him, bow loose at her side, her expression dripping with mockery.

“You know,” Gregory said, voice thick with venom, “we watched your whole little performance against Raven. Every move. Every flaw.”

Patricia giggled cruelly.
“We were ten steps ahead from the beginning. All that struggle… all that hope… We let it play out, because it’s so much sweeter to crush something after it thinks it has a chance.”

Safari’s fists tightened, aura flaring, eyes blazing.

Gregory sneered.
“You’re strong, I’ll admit. Strong enough to face Raven. But we hated that arrogant freak, even as his elites.”

Patricia’s eyes narrowed.
“He kept us on chains. But now that he’s gone, we took his throne. Together. As equals… and as lovers.”

Without warning, the two locked lips, kissing slowly, deliberately—taunting Safari and Angeleva. Their bodies glowed with a light and dark, pulsating aura—corrupted Celestic energy.

Patricia whispered between kisses, smirking, “Use all your little sync tricks. We’ll beat you half-asleep.”

Gregory chuckled.
“Come on, lovebirds. Show us something.”

Inside the God Sphere, the audience froze in disbelief.

Ian gasped.
“Are they seriously making out… in the middle of a warzone?”

Tyra slammed her fist into the wall.
“They’re mocking them. Playing with their heads!”

Zack’s voice cracked.
“No… big bro, big sis… don’t take the bait.”

Safari’s aura snapped like wildfire. He couldn’t bear it.

“Enough of this sick show!” he roared. His Devil Hammer erupted in green fire.
“Devil Hammer Slice!”

Angeleva spun beside him, Fairy Wand blazing with radiant light.
“Fairy Pulse!”

Together, they charged—perfectly in sync, attacks colliding toward the corrupted pair.

But Gregory’s mace intercepted with a thunderous crash, the shockwave hurling Safari back. Patricia, lips still on Gregory’s, lazily raised a hand.

“Fairy Barrier.”

Angeleva’s attack splintered uselessly against it, sparks raining.

Still kissing. Still smirking. Still untouchable.

Then—Gregory moved.

“Devil Mace Shock!”
His mace crackled with orange fury, slamming sideways—Safari was thrown like a ragdoll.

Simultaneously—
“Fairy Exploding Shot!”
Patricia’s arrow detonated in cursed purple light, blasting Angeleva into the ground.

And still—their kiss never broke.

In the God Sphere—

Tyra’s jaw dropped. “They countered even their synchronization… without stopping their kiss?!” Ian groaned. “Is this love or just villain-level petty?” Zack shuddered. “They’re fighting in perfect sync too… but it’s twisted. Wrong.” Jen whispered. “It isn’t love. It’s possession.” Legend’s voice dropped, grim. “No—it’s worse. They’ve fused their minds. A corrupted Celestic bond, built on cruelty and obsession.”

On the battlefield—

Safari staggered to his feet, blood on his lips. Angeleva, struggled upright beside him. Gregory and Patricia finally broke their kiss, but their eyes burned with wicked light. “You call that synchronization?” Gregory mocked. Patricia nocked another arrow, smirking. “Let us show you what it really means to connect.” She gestured between herself and Gregory. “That wasn’t just for fun. That was our tactic.” Gregory’s grin widened. “Our synchronization. Designed together. Built together.” Safari spat blood. “What kind of tactic is that?” Angeleva’s voice cut sharp. “You’re mocking love. That’s not synchronicity—it’s manipulation.” Patricia laughed softly. “Funny… because we studied love. And Celestic Warriors are always tied to it.” Gregory leaned forward. “After Raven chose us, we researched the archives. Every warrior before us. And guess what? They always come in pairs.” Safari stiffened. “Pairs?” Gregory nodded. “Tim—the Solar Warrior.” Patricia continued. “And Rei—the Lunar Warrior. The first Celestic Warriors. A legendary couple.” Angeleva blinked. “…We’ve never heard of them.” Gregory scoffed. “Because you’re still rookies. But you do know the Orb Warriors, don’t you?” Safari grunted. “Mike and Heidi… we’ve met them.” Patricia mock-clapped. “Very good. The Magician and the Chef—chaotic, absurd, always bickering. But still in sync. Just like the originals.” Gregory’s tone hardened. “Synchronization thrives on love. Real, raw love. That’s what makes Celestic Warriors evolve.” Patricia added slyly, “…Except for one. The Grey Warrior—Jim. No partner. No counterpart.” Angeleva gasped. “Jim? I met him. Green hair. In the Fairy Universe—he was with the Orb Warriors.” Patricia’s eyes gleamed. “Then that was him. The only Celestic Warrior to fight alone.” Safari and Angeleva stood silent for a moment, trying to process it all. Gregory stepped forward. "Tim and Rei? Married. They even have a one-year-old kid now." Patricia nodded. "Mike and Heidi? Not married yet, but clearly a couple. And now you two—just tied the knot yourselves, didn't you?" Gregory smirked cruelly. "It's no coincidence. Love fuels Celestic Warriors. It's the key to their power. Their evolution." Gregory raised his hand, slowly turning his wrist as if displaying a delicate jewel. "There's another thing we uncovered... a trait all Celestic Warrior pairs seem to share," he said, voice low and echoing with gravity. "They're always opposites." Patricia stepped beside him, smirking. "Think about it. Tim and Rei—Sun and Moon. Mike and Heidi—calculated genius magician and impulsive, unpredictable cook . Even you two... a hardened devil warrior from a warrior world and a mystical fairy with grace and light. And us too being a fairy and a devil." Gregory's eyes narrowed, deadly focused. "But it only works if the love is real. True. Not fake, not forced. You can't just pretend to synchronize." Safari and Angeleva said "But your love is not real love no matter how you describe it." Patricia leaned into Gregory's arm, resting her head there. Her voice softened, still mocking, but touched with honesty. "You think we don't love each other?" she asked. "You're wrong." Gregory’s eyes glinted. “I was Raven’s only elite… until Patricia. He found her—infamous, locked away in Angelica’s prisons. But I was fascinated. Her mind. Her methods. Her beauty.” Patricia’s cheeks flushed faintly. “He freed me. When Angelica fell, when Rebel burned everything… he gave me a choice. Not just to run. To rise. With him.” Gregory’s voice dropped low. “I valued no one. Trusted no one. But she… she’s the only one I’d protect with my life.” Patricia whispered, gaze softening. “And he’s the only one I’ve ever believed in. My chaos, my hunger for control—it all meant nothing beside devotion. Sharing the throne with him… means more than ruling alone.” Silence fell. Safari and Angeleva froze. “…They’re not lying,” Angeleva whispered. Safari loosened his fists, stunned. Legend’s telepathic voice resonated through them. “Do you see? Love itself is neutral. Pure. What matters is how it’s wielded. They twist it toward domination. You must wield it toward protection.” Angeleva reached for Safari’s hand. “Our love… isn’t theirs. We don’t fight to own. We fight to protect.” Their auras flared—green and pink merging, swirling into a radiant storm. The earth trembled under their united pulse. Gregory and Patricia’s kiss broke, eyes narrowing. Gregory grinned. “So… you think you can match us now?” Patricia’s corrupted arrow glowed. “Let’s tear them apart properly this time.” Safari raised his hammer, infused with Angeleva’s light. “Devil Hammer Flames!” Angeleva chanted, wings shimmering. “Fairy Blossom Core—Unity Bloom!” Together they leapt, spinning, unleashing a spiral of flower-laced fire. Gregory and Patricia answered without breaking stride—dark mace shockwave, exploding arrow cyclone—corrupted love crashing against protective devotion. The forces collided midair— Corrupted passion versus protective love. The battlefield split with light and shadow.
