Chapter 8: Landing On The Pied Piper Story

The Pied Piper story was already about a cursed musician leading children away... If corrupted, the consequences could be disastrous.

As they neared the Pied Piper’s Planet, Jim struggled to land the ship smoothly—

BOOM!

The ship crashed into a muddy riverbank, bouncing wildly before finally stopping.

Mike and Heidi were launched across the control room, landing on top of each other—again.

Mike (calmly): “Can we not have a smooth landing for once?!”

Heidi (pushing him off, annoyed): “Maybe if our pilot wasn’t useless!”

Jim (offended): “I can hear you!”

Welcome to Hamelburg

They stepped out into the gloomy village of Hamelburg from the Pied Piper tale. Rats scurried everywhere. Mike (disgusted): “Ugh! Why are there so many rats?!” A villager passed, whispering in fear. Villager: “The rats… they won’t leave. Even the Piper’s music doesn’t work anymore…” Jim (narrowing his eyes): “That’s not normal. In the story, the Pied Piper successfully led the rats away. Something’s interfering.” Heidi suddenly froze, sensing a wave of dark energy. Heidi: “The monsters… they’re already here.” Sneaking through the village, they overheard the mayor confronting the Pied Piper. Mayor (panicked): “Why won’t your music work? The rats are worse than ever!” The Pied Piper played his flute—but instead of luring the rats away, the melody only made them more aggressive. They swarmed the villagers, biting and clawing. Mike (realizing): “The monsters corrupted the music!” A chilling laugh echoed. A tall, cloaked figure appeared on a rooftop. Alucard. Beside him, two monstrous beings: Siren Widow — a harpy-like creature manipulating music to spread mind control. Plague Gnaw — a grotesque rat-king monster summoning and commanding rat swarms. Alucard (mocking): “Ah, the ‘next generation’ of Celestic Warriors. We meet again.” Jim (gritting teeth): “Alucard... I should’ve known.” Alucard: “Of course. What’s a Pied Piper story without extra horror? The Piper’s music is useless now. Soon, the rats will devour this town. And when they fail to pay the Piper... well, no child will survive to leave with him.” Mike, Heidi, and Jim tensed. The original tale was tragic enough — the Piper led the children away when the town refused payment. If corrupted further, those children wouldn’t just vanish—they’d die. Mike (clenching fists): “We’re not letting this happen.” Heidi (taking out her kitchen utensils): “Time to take out the trash—literally.” Jim: “Stick to the plan. Restore the tale’s balance.” As he said that, Mike and Heidi already transformed into their Warrior forms prepared for battle.

Battle vs. Siren Widow

Siren Widow sang a haunting melody, ensnaring villagers in mind control. Even Mike and Heidi felt their bodies freeze. Mike (struggling): “My… body… won’t move…” Jim, no longer a warrior, covered his ears and hurled a Celestic sonic grenade. BOOM! The soundwave shattered her spell, freeing them. Heidi (grinning): “Nice job, green head!” Heidi jumped forward, smashing Siren Widow’s throat with her frying pan, cutting off the voice. Mike: “Now, let’s finish this.” Mike used his wand summon a massive wind blast, sending Siren Widow crashing into the river. The impact exploded her fragile form.

Battle vs. Plague Gnaw

Plague Gnaw unleashed a tsunami of rats, swarming them. Jim (kicking rats): “Why did it have to be rats?!” Mike blasted fire magic; Heidi hurled explosive flour bags. But Plague Gnaw was tough. Mike: “We need a bigger explosion.” Heidi (grinning): “Then let’s cook it!” She lit a giant stove, while Mike used a magnet potion to pull all the rats inside. The rats burned; Plague Gnaw screamed in agony as its power faded. Jim guarded the stove while Mike and Heidi unintentionally launched a combined finisher—Mike’s lightning blast and Heidi’s shockwave from smashing the ground with her meat hammer. BOOM! Plague Gnaw was obliterated. With the monsters gone, the Pied Piper’s music returned to normal. The rats followed him away, just as the tale intended. But then came the crucial moment. The mayor still refused to pay the Piper. Jim, Mike, and Heidi watched in silence. The Pied Piper’s eyes darkened. Just like the original story—he played his flute. The village children followed him, disappearing into the mountains. The tale remained intact. Mike (whispering): “Damn... that’s still depressing.” Heidi (nodding): “Yeah... but at least they weren’t slaughtered.” Jim stared after the vanished children, uneasy. Was this really the best outcome? Back on the ship, Jim checked the tracker. The Vampire Family was moving again. But this time— Jim (serious): “This next target… it’s worse than the last two.” Mike (raising an eyebrow): “What is it?” Jim slowly turned to them. Jim: “They’re going after Cinderella’s Planet.” Mike and Heidi froze. Heidi (whispering): “We can’t let them win this time.” With new determination, the Celestic Warriors set off for their next battle.
