Chapter 7: The Teamwork

As the drama continued, Jim pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to stay calm.

But his patience snapped when he turned and saw the monsters clearly enjoying the show like loyal fans.

Even worse, the crowd around them was watching and murmuring.

Jim (screaming at the top of his lungs):
“YOU TWO CAN FREAK OUT ABOUT YOUR LOVE LIVES LATER! LOOK AT THE DAMN MONSTERS!”

The crowd covered their ears, unable to bear the shriek, and quickly dispersed back to their chores.

The monsters stood, satisfied and ready to attack.

Mike and Heidi turned just in time to see Sticky Specter launch gooey tentacles, while Curse Crow summoned a massive dark feather storm.

Both (panicked):
“OH—!”

They barely dodged as the forest around them was shredded.

Jim (angrily):
“You idiots almost got yourselves killed over a stupid kiss! Get your heads in the game!”

Mike and Heidi exchanged embarrassed glances, finally realizing Jim was right.

Mike (back to cool):
“Fine... Let’s take these guys down.”

Heidi (nodding):
“Yeah... we’ll settle the kiss thing later.”

Jim (annoyed):
“You’re still gonna argue about it later?!”

With focus restored, Mike and Heidi transformed and launched their counterattack.

Mike summoned chains of blue energy with his wand and a trap potion.

Mike (logically confident):
“Let’s see how you like being stuck!”

But Sticky Specter absorbed the chains, growing bigger and slimier.

Heidi (frustrated):
“Idiot! You just made it stronger!”

She threw kitchen forks, but they got stuck in the goo.

Mike (mocking):
“Oh yeah? And you just gave it more weapons!”

As they bickered, Curse Crow flapped its wings, sending a dark shockwave that paralyzed the castle guards.

Jim leapt forward, catching the simple man as he collapsed.

Jim:
“Focus, you two!”

Despite arguing, their rivalry pushed them to outdo each other.

Mike froze part of Sticky Specter with frost magic, allowing Heidi to shatter it with her superheated sauce pan.

Heidi:
“See? Cooking utensils can be weapons!”

Mike smirked.

Mike (acting calculated):
“Totally planned that.”

Curse Crow shrieked and attacked from above, raining exploding dark feathers.

Mike and Heidi dodged desperately.

Jim analyzed the battlefield.

Jim (thinking):
“If we don’t end this fast, the story’s doomed.”

Jim (shouting):
“Mike! Heidi! Use a combined finisher!”

Mike (coldly):
“No way! She’s gonna ruin it with her chaos!”

Heidi (annoyed):
“Me?! Your magic’s unpredictable!”

Jim grabbed both by the collars.

Jim:
“JUST DO IT!”

Reluctantly, they agreed.

Mike summoned a giant glowing magic oven using his Transport Potion, heating the battlefield.

Heidi superheated her pressure cooker on the oven, turning it into a fiery weapon.

Mike absorbed and suppressed the heat with another potion—until the cooker’s cap exploded miles away.

The attack hit hard. The monsters were injured badly and flinched at the attack.

Mike:
“Alright, Blue Magician Special!”

Heidi:
“Yellow Chef Special!”

Together, they launched a synchronized fiery explosion.

Curse Crow screeched and disintegrated.

Sticky Specter melted into nothing.

As smoke cleared, the simple man retrieved the Golden Goose, and the fairy tale resumed.

The king, no longer cursed, laughed and arranged the wedding.

The Vampire Family’s corruption was stopped… for now.

Mike and Heidi, covered in soot, exchanged looks.

Mike (acting cool):
“I guess that… kinda worked?”

Heidi:
“I still don’t like you.”

Jim facepalmed.

Jim (groaning):
“I can’t believe these two are supposed to be the next Big Bro and Big Sis.”

Back at the ship…

Mike and Heidi sat on opposite sides of the room, arms crossed, glaring. Jim tried piloting, noticing the tense silence. Jim (sighing): “Okay, I know that face. What now?” Mike (calm, annoyed): “We still haven’t settled the kiss issue.” Heidi (equally annoyed): “Yeah. Whose fault was it?!” Jim’s head hit the control panel. Jim (groaning): “Oh my god, just let it go! You already performed your drama.” Suddenly, the tracker beeped. A new location appeared on the map— The Vampire Family was moving again. Jim (serious): “We’ve got trouble. They’re heading toward the next fairy tale planet.” Mike and Heidi instantly snapped to attention. Mike: “Which one?” Jim’s expression darkened. Jim: “The Pied Piper planet.” Silence fell. Mike and Heidi exchanged worried glances. Heidi (nervous): “This one… might be dangerous.” Mike (determined): “Doesn’t matter. We’re stopping them.” Jim: “Celestic Warriors don’t let evil win.”

Next day…

They stared at the glowing map. The tracker showed the Vampire Family’s next target—the Pied Piper’s planet. Jim (serious): “We need to be careful. The Pied Piper story is already dark. If Alucard corrupts it further…” Heidi (crossing arms): “Then this world is doomed.” Mike (coldly): “No pressure, right?” Jim shot Mike a death glare, and Mike shut up. They all knew the Vampire Family wouldn’t stop until every fairy tale planet was drained.
