Chapter 6: The Rise Of The Solar Warrior

Back to the present...

Tim was standing at the heart of the Solar fortress, the golden sun crest behind him casting his white hair in a radiant glow. His once youthful, carefree face had hardened with a fierce resolve. The same boy who had been abducted from Earth was now a warrior of Soluna, shaped by endless days of combat training, tactical lessons, and the weight of a destiny he didn't ask for. Before him stood Heatsun, his towering mentor, the embodiment of Solar strength. Flanking Heatsun were Henry and Marie, the very ones who had saved Tim from Sunburn's clutches all those years ago - Henry, a proud Solar male with golden hair, and Marie, a Lunar female with dark blue locks, both wearing armor marked by the intertwined sun and moon sigils of Soluna. The air was thick with anticipation. Heatsun's voice echoed through the grand chamber, firm and unwavering. "Tim... the time has come." Tim's heart pounded. He had waited for this moment for years, yet now that it was here, the weight of his role bore down on him like never before. Heatsun stepped forward, his hand resting on a weapon - the Solar Saber - a blade of pure golden energy, said to have been forged from the heart of Soluna itself. "You are no longer a student. No longer just a boy ripped from his home." Heatsun's eyes burned like twin suns. "You are the Solar Warrior. The savior of Soluna." He held out the Solar Saber. The blade shimmered, its golden light reflecting in Tim's pale eyes. Tim slowly reached out, his hand hovering over the weapon for a moment - a silent hesitation. He wasn't afraid of battle as he had trained too hard for that. But the issue was something deeper: the fear of failing the people of Soluna, of not living up to the warrior they expected him to be. Finally, his fingers wrapped around the hilt. A surge of Solar energy flooded through him. The saber responded to his touch, flaring brighter - as if acknowledging its new master. Tim From Celestic Warriors: The Origins Heatsun's voice was solemn. "This saber is more than a weapon. It is a symbol. A promise. You will protect Soluna with its light." Tim clenched the Saber tightly. "I understand." His voice was steady, but his heart was a storm. But before another word could be spoken - a deafening explosion rocked the planet. The sky above Soluna was streaked with black and purple - symbolizing the emergence of Dark Void. _ _ _ From the clouds descended Dark Void's warships - massive, shadowy vessels that hummed with dark energy, their engines roaring like thunder. As they landed, the hatches opened, and rows of Dark Void's soldiers marched out - faceless warriors clad in obsidian armor, their glowing eyes a reflection of their master's cruelty. Buildings crumbled under the onslaught, homes of both Solar and Lunar people reduced to rubble. Screams echoed across the city as civilians ran for cover, children clutching their parents as shadows consumed the once-thriving streets. Dark energy blasts tore through Soluna's defenses. Heatsun's jaw tightened. "It's begun." Henry drew his Solar blade. "He didn't even wait - just like you said, Heatsun." Marie whispered under her breath. "Tim," she said softly, her voice a sharp contrast to the chaos outside, "this is what you trained for. They need you." Tim's heart pounded. The screams outside clawed at his mind, but his grip on the Solar Saber only tightened. Heatsun turned to him, his gaze fierce. "Tim, this is the moment we've prepared for. Dark Void has come. You are the Solar Warrior — Soluna's last hope." Tim's eyes burned with determination. "I won't let Soluna fall." With the Solar Saber glowing in his hand, Tim stepped forward - not as a student anymore... but as a warrior. _ _ _ Amid the crumbling ruins of Soluna, with smoke clouding the golden skies and screams echoing in the distance, a figure emerged, his white hair glowing against the chaos. His Solar Saber humming with energy, the golden blade casting a brilliant light that cut through the darkness. It was Tim with a burden of being the Saviour of Soluna. The soldiers of Dark Void halted for a brief moment surprised by his sudden appearance. They didn't expect a lone warrior standing between them and the complete destruction of Soluna. Tim tightened his grip on the Solar Saber. His voice, firm yet still tinged with a hint of uncertainty, echoed through the battlefield: "I am Tim - the Solar Warrior! The Savior of Soluna!" His words were bold, but deep inside, doubt gnawed at him. "Could I really protect this planet - the only home the Solar and Lunar people had left - all by myself? The army before me is massive, and the warships looming above feels like unmovable titans in the sky." Heatsun's voice rang out from behind him, steady, unyielding. "Tim, doubt will not protect Soluna. Fight. You don't have to win alone, but you must try." Tim swallowed his fear, his heart pounding like a drum. "I will." Then, with a flash of golden light, Tim raised the Solar Saber high into the sky. The saber reacted instantly. Solar energy coursed through him - his armor shifting, glowing, transforming. His training clothes were replaced by shining white armor, his chest marked by the radiant sun symbol of Soluna. He was no longer just Tim. He was the White Solar Warrior. The soldiers charged. Tim didn't wait. He sprinted forward, his Saber slashing through the darkened air. Each swing of his blade released a golden arc of energy, cutting through the soldiers' obsidian armor like a hot knife through ice. Slash. Burst. Strike. The training under Heatsun - the grueling 15 years of relentless practice - all came flooding back as Tim moved with speed and precision. He flipped through the air, blocking energy blasts and countering with explosive Solar strikes. Every time doubt threatened to creep into his mind, he remembered Heatsun's words: "Try. Keep trying." And so, he did. He charged deeper into the enemy lines, his confidence growing with every fallen soldier. The golden light from his attacks illuminated the battlefield, and for the first time since the attack began, the Solar and Lunar people hiding in the shadows began to feel a glimmer of hope. _ _ _ But then - the warships. Tim glanced up. The massive dark ships hovered above like predators - launching volleys of energy blasts that tore through buildings and sent shockwaves across the land. "The soldiers are one thing, but the ships... how am I supposed to deal with them?" Tim thought. His fingers tightened on the hilt of the Solar Saber. Heatsun's voice thundered from the distance. "Tim! The Saber is more than a blade - it's a weapon of light! Aim it at the sky and channel your powers as I taught you! You can slash those ships down!" Tim's mind raced, but there was no time to hesitate. He gritted his teeth, lifted the Solar Saber, and swung it through the air - sending a crescent-shaped arc of golden energy roaring upward. The blast struck one of the warships dead-on. BOOM! The ship's hull cracked and crumbled under the impact, spiraling down into a heap of wreckage. Tim's eyes widened - it worked. He didn't stop. Fueled by adrenaline, he launched himself into the air, using a powerful Solar boosted jumpd to close the distance. With each mid-air slash of the Saber, another ship fell - explosions lighting up the night sky. His strikes were fierce and relentless, his fear slowly transforming into unshakable resolve. Within an hour, the battlefield fell silent. The last soldier collapsed, and the final warship erupted in a fiery explosion, crashing into the distant mountains of Soluna. Tim landed gracefully, his Solar Saber still glowing, his breath heavy but steady. The ruins around him smoldered, but the invaders were gone - for now. And then, a sinister laugh echoed through the sky. A massive purple projection of Dark Void appeared in the air above Soluna - a ghostly, towering figure cloaked in swirling shadows. His glowing red eyes locked onto Tim, and a twisted smirk curled across his face. "Impressive," Dark Void's voice rumbled like distant thunder. "It seems the Solar Warrior is more entertaining than I expected." Tim's jaw clenched. "I'm not here for your amusement," Tim shot back, his voice steady despite the anger burning inside him. "This isn't a game. I'll do whatever it takes to protect Soluna." Dark Void's smirk only deepened. "Oh, but it is a game, boy." His voice dripped with mockery. "And you've only just made your first move." Before Tim could respond, the projection flickered and vanished, leaving behind a lingering sense of dread. Heatsun approached Tim, his face calm but his voice firm. "This is only the beginning, Tim. Prepare yourself because there will be tougher challenges ahead" Tim gripped his Solar Saber tighter, the blade's glow reflecting in his fierce, determined eyes. "Then I'll be ready for what's next." And as the smoke slowly cleared from Soluna's skies, the Solar Warrior stood tall looking resolved as he stared at the clear skies of Soluna.
